The only thing I hear in this thread from people who don't exercise are excuses. Newsflash. Everyone has a job. Everyone has a commute. Everyone has a family. Everyone has obligations. You just don't prioritize your health and fitness. Once you become honest with yourself, maybe then you can get seriously about carving out time to take care of yourself. You know why I take fitness seriously? Because what is the point of being on this Earth if you are going to be like everyone else? A well built physique is a status symbol. It reflects you worked hard for it, no money can buy it, not even DCUM money. You cannot borrow it, you cannot inherit it, you cannot steal it. You cannot hold onto it without constant work. It shows discipline, it shows self respect, it shows patience, work ethic and passion. That is why I do what I do with my time.
Hey, shame has never worked. I feel sorry for your kids if you have any.
I actually agree with the poster, though, as usually the nastiness isn't warranted. I have three kids and a pretty intense job. I have ALWAYS managed to work out, though I never wanted it to take away from the time with my kids (since I already had working mom guilt!) The thing is, there is so much amazing free content online, broken into lots of small snippets. I aim for 30-45 minutes of activity every day (getting an apple watch to track my activity levels has been great for me). I do a lot of youtube stuff - usually with my kids in the room (or, if I can, convincing my kids to actually do the workouts with me). I also go on runs alongside them on their scooters, bikes, rollerblades. We walk the dog together, I play sports with them, etc. I think this is really important to demonstrate to the kids and a great way to help them develop a lifetime commitment to physical fitness.
