The Buffetts are remarkably frugal and low key. It is no surprise that she said something. The surprise is that she said it loud enough to be overheard. They are nice people. You would be really surprised if you met them. About as opposite from Gates and the rest as you can get.

How does complaining loudly about the cost of coffee being purchased help retain wealth? It sounds like they spent tens of thousands on an unnecessary junket and then spent more money on a coffee she could have made in her overpriced accommodations. But, I’m not seeing any money saved.

But sure, conspicuously imitate their frugal ways to make it seem like you too are wealthy beyond comprehension.
