I absolutely adore her now. This is exactly why many wealthy people retain their wealth.

She was at a billionnaire's camp, you say? Yeah, I really don't give AF. She could have stayed home, had coffee at home, and saved the planet from the plane emissions. She could ... stop being a coffee drinker. She had options.
|
| Pretty sure she brought her own avocado toast sandwich from home, wrapped in wax paper |
| Just because you have money to spend doesn't mean you lose your sensitivity to it being wasted. I don't know why this fact surprises people. |
| Isn’t part of the problem that billionaires like her don’t think the billions their families have raked in have increased prices and inflation for everyone? |
| Larry Libowotz used to walk four blocks out of way for 50 cent coffee off the cart. He made 40 million a year when I worked with him |
|
Billionaires who hoard their money and are not willing to pay fair wages… that’s adorable to you?
|
Don’t be a jerk. They pledged to give almost all of their money away. Billions and billions. How much have you given? What? Can’t hear you. WHAT??? |
Have they given it away already? Or does that only come when they're dead? |
NP, but I don't HAVE billions. I don't even have $200,000. I will probably never be able to buy a home, and probably work until the day I drop dead. |
Both |
| Buffetts have given more than $50 billion already. Gotta love them. |
| I generally like Warren Buffett, as far as billionaires go, but I think the wife lacks perspective. She's probably hobnobbing with CEOs who rakes in $50 million when their company's stock prices slump and they lay off people. But a vendor charging $4 for coffee to some of the wealthiest people on the planet is a cause for scorn? I hope they still tip. |
Like Warren Buffett, I pledge to donate every penny after my first billion dollars. And better than Warren Buffet, I've already done it every penny after my first 50 million dollars. You're welcome! |
She retained Warren Buffett's wealth, not her wealth. And she retained Warren Buffett's first wife's husband (while they were still married). |
