The term ‘push present’

there's nothing wrong with giving a gift for a kid's birth but branding it a 'push present' is very very cheesy.

I love the gorgeous pieces of jewelry my husband got me when our children were born. I had very difficult pregnancies, childbirth and recovery both times and he wanted me to feel appreciated. This was 21 and 19 years ago and we’d heard the term “push present” but never used it ourselves. Never thought it was trashy to give gifts LOL

It is amazing how many " gift grab" events people have come up with. Gender reveals and push presents seem particularly grabby + grubby.

My husband gave me a gift of jewelry when each of our children was born. None of the gifts were asked for or expected. Neither of us would ever use the term "push present"
