She’s 109lbs soaking wet she didn’t cause damage by running into someone skiing.

What? You don't ski do you. When 100 lbs smashes into you full speed you could end up dead.
Stupid sow boarder girl ran into me from behind (It looked like she was there with snow boarder boyfriend and had no business being on a snow board), i went flying, skis flying, one leg one way, the other iwth a ski twisted. me totally bruised. You have no idea what you are talking about. I was under 110 lbs as well, and very hurt.

Cool. But he skied into her.

According to the defense and her witnesses.

His word against hers.

And the ski instructor’s word.
And he’s not helped by his friend/witness who can’t recall his deposition testimony.

Not sure that means much. In a workplace lawsuit I personally saw a guy casually pathologically lie on the stand to protect our company because he knew it would benefit him professionally.

Some people care about principles. Paying off these people just encourages them. She has deep enough pockets to be able to care about justice. Not awarding some elderly half blind fool.

Yes, Hollywood is totally opposed to payoffs because of principles. lol. This is being choreographed and blasted to tabloids because the old bag is soaking up the attention and wants to play a victim. $300k is chump change to this filthy rich woman. She's exploiting this to generate attention, win or lose it's a cheap way to get her name everywhere and play a victim while being 20 or 25 years past her career prime.

my god. over react much?

I don't think so. She's presumably worth $100 million, lawyers are presumably $1k an hour and crisis pr doesn't get out of bed for less than six figures. And what's a private jet cost to and from whatever podunk town this this trial is at? She's probably into this for more than $300k, so she might as well have just cut the check -- unless of course it's a calculated decision by an aging grifter to lap up the attention and social media engagement.

That’s what he said. And the definition of a shakedown.

He and his ambulance chasing lawyer are gross. He’s obviously looking to pad his retirement. What else does he have to do all day?

You need to chill out and stop smearing some random old man. I know a handful of good, decent white collar people who have sued after auto accidents or their kids being harmed by health care providers. They are victims, not shakedown artists.

Do you know this guy? Calm down. Just because you don’t like Gwyneth doesn’t make him a credible person not looking for a pay day.

His friend was probably promised a portion of the prize for his help.

In the first day of trial the plaintiff's witness claims he heard a scream and looked over and THEN saw Paltrow plow into Sanderson - but it makes no sense to me that you hear a scream and then look over to see the accident take place a couple seconds AFTER the scream?! Makes zero sense to me

On a side note, I’m surprised this happened at deer valley. They don’t allow snowboarders and every incident I’ve ever had has been instigated by a snowboarder.

Deer valleys runs are also notoriously short. I’m surprised anyone could gather enough speed to hurt someone else there.

Yes, and the internet making fun of her Jeffrey Dahmer glasses.

He's asking for $3 million. He has nothing approaching $3 in damages

I wouldn’t give her a passing glance if I saw her on the street. Goop products must not be very effective.

Don’t you think her attorneys advised her not to look like a rich, glamorous celebrity?

Yuck. Are these supposedly fashionable or is she trying to look like a feeble old lady for the jury (and not the filthy rich entitled Hollywood wacko she is)?

Yes. And those lawyers, the pr and the private jet travel likely exceed the $300k this injured old man wanted. Which means this is all a pr stunt because she's so thirsty for attention?

The injured old man should just hang up his skis and not do things that are unsafe for people his age and in his condition. It was just his luck her ran into GP, right?

I assure you if you're ever injured in an accident and you can no longer pursue your hobbies and your quality of life declines, you'd sue too. It's not fun and victims would eagerly give up the six-figures to have their full health back. Quit mocking the old man and have a little empathy.
