I think jello pudding pops were just frozen jello pudding so you can still make the boxed pudding and then freeze it in popsicle forms.

I've tried. It's not the same. The consistency is wrong.

The original had that super thin layer of ice on the outside.

It’s not a nostalgia thing….but MOMs used to sell a brand of pizza called BOLT. Can’t find it anywhere. It was gluten/dairy free with real pepperoni (not vegan). The fake cheese tasted like cheese and the pepperoni made it all work.

14:35 poster please come back. I need you.
And the old school Ring Dings individually wrapped in foil were heaven. The new ones in the puffy pack are more stale and waxy tasting. I make a homemade version that is one of my favorite desserts.

Giant definitely still sells some Stella d’oro cookies — but the nyc factory closed years ago so I don’t think all the old types are still made.

I used to get really soft jalapeño cheese bread with the grocery store growing up. Now I can only find it in focaccia form in on a fancy bread style that is not as soft and pillowy. It was so yummy!

PinkBerry is alive and well at BWI airport!

Available at Wegman’s. There’s a six-pack of bottles in my garage right now.

Cheez Whiz is hard to find. I get it, it’s gross, but I use it for one throwback casserole recipe during the holidays

Sara Lee pecan coffee cake
Pepperidge Farm Coconut cake with Lemon filing
Cragmont grapefruit soda
Great Escape frozen dinners. My favorite was the one with beef short ribs. Seafood Newberg was good too
Smoked sable tails from Posin’s

The bolded! I used to call them “Danny bars” when I was little - loved those. Raspberry was my favorite.

Oh thank goodness. Thanks for letting us know. We were all wondering about you.

Anonymous wrote:The old school kosher Jewish delis are disappearing. My grandmother would take me to one as a kid where she lived in Brooklyn and I’d get belly lox on a bialy and she’d get a tongue sandwich (never tried it but I’ll admit it smelled good). We would then split a black and white cookie down the middle. I liked vanilla and she liked chocolate so it was perfect. A lot of them have closed as tastes have changed and younger generations don’t want to take them over. Who’s eating tongue, borscht, matzo ball soup, derma, stuffed cabbages, kugel etc anymore.

Jews eat these things still of course. There aren’t good delis in the DC area but they’re alive and well in NYC.

They got rid of the seven layer burrito? That was my favorite!

Wheatables crackers

A lot of what I miss still technically exists but is made with such inferior artificial ingredients that I just want the original. I want Little Debbie’s, Chips Ahoy/Famous Amos cookies from the 90s when they were made with better ingredients
