| We loved this historic replica home on a few acres with a great kids play area, but the one neighbor that abutted the property had a tall wooden picket fence lined with black plastic. Why the plastic? It unnerved me and even though I loved the house and property, we passed. Found out later from our realtor that the new owner of the home with the fence was rescuing pit bulls and it was a motivating factor for the sellers. |
Oh the horror |
| Too close to a busy road. |
| House with a Garage that looked like it had been a grow room, this was in 2010. House also had a bedroom with snakes in aquariums with no warning notes in the listing or on the bedroom door. Window Ac in Master in Centeral AIr House we wondered how well the air worked. . Wasn't on too bad of shape should have take got redistricted from Fairfax to Woodson so jumped 100,000 almost immediately. They are really not that much different schools. |
| It was next to a former family cemetery. I thought it was a fenced in park so we made an offer. My realtor made some inquiries and found out the land was a former cemetery, the bodies were exhumed and moved to another place. The family asked the developer not to build a house on the land. Too creepy so we backed out after the inspection. Glad we did because the neighborhood didn't age well and we found a much better house. |
| Too many golf ball pings on the underside of the porch and patio roofs. |

Beautiful home but the finished basement looked like it was the home to about 20 squatters (some of whom were present while we were looking). Cooking smells throughout. Shabby paint on all the walls and very worn flooring. A giant dog following us around, which scared our toddler and made it hard for me to really focus on the house while carrying his terrified little self around.
All petty things but it presented poorly and we couldn't imagine what we would find once all of the people were gone. |
