I really hope you get some wine, you’re wound super tight and need the relaxation. |
| Just give the teachers cash and trust that if they need to use it to buy alcohol to forget how annoying you and your kid are, they will. |
Oh yes, I send my kid to school with a fifth for every teacher in their backpack! LOL |
You probably know all about that kind of relaxation. |
I'm sorry, can you explain to me the ingenuity I can use to make a bottle of wine fit into a drawer smaller than a bottle of wine in the 30 seconds I might get alone in my room during a passing period? |
Truth is that some of these posters are hoping you'll get into trouble so they can have a good laugh at your expense. |
Save the good stuff for MS. |

| My spouse brought home a bottle of wine. Another teacher makes wine and brings it for the staff every year. |
This is very different than sending a bottle of alcohol school with your child. |
Not sure but maybe your child could conduct an experiment by bringing a full backpack of booze into school. Let us know how it turns out. |

I mean, if your kid has the type of teacher who maintains an open Instagram and you follow each other, and you see they enjoy rose and you are able to literally put it in their hand at pick-up and tell them what it is and wink then I guess it's fine.
Or if your kid's teacher is your neighbor or tutors your kid in your home and you can hand-deliver it off school property, sure. Basically any other circumstance: don't do this. |
At pick up? This is the worst idea yet. If you have a relationship outside of school, then off campus is the only place. |

I'd say being at work, in a classroom with students would be a "job-related context" Nowadays, many school districts, especially around the DMV have started implementing similar type regulations for their staff. Please check your local school district policies before you send a bottle of wine onto school property. Even if well intentioned, your child, the teacher or the school administration could get into trouble for it. Is it worth it? Part of a gift is making sure that is it appropriate and allowed in the context and setting. In this case, it most likely is not. A gift card would be a better choice. |
