Next to your MAGA flag?

My MAGA flag flies below the US flag and POW-MIA flag. Because I understand flag protocols from 21 years of service. Unlike you.

Your service counts for nothing when you disgrace yourself as a traitor to our country. It just makes your actions all the worse.

“my actions”?

What are these actions you speak of? My CIB? My deployments? My Purple Heart with oak leaf? My Bronze Star with V device? Those actions? So all that counts for nothing, huh?

The sad part is your own arrogance prevents you from appreciating how incredibly disgusting you sound.

I spit on all of those if you are MAGA. And I’m from a huge military family. My dad was a naval officer and FIL was in Vietnam, my grandfather was wounded twice in the Pacific, two of my cousins/nephew are USMC (one wounded in Ramadi) and my 3x great grandfather is buried at Gettysburg. None of your service counts for squat if you support Traitor Trump and his MAGA crowd of treason weasels.

For too long the left has allowed the Rightwing to claim our flag. No more! This liberal displays her flag proudly!

This thread is truly full of unhinged LWNJs. I fly my American flag whenever I want to because I'm proud to be an American. There is no underlying meaning to it. Please seek help for your very bizarre world view.

Um... no one has "claimed" the flag. Fly it all you want and stop acting like a middle schooler.

Flying the flag upside down is a signal the country is in trouble.

No it’s not. It’s a nautical distress signal that you need emergency help on the high seas. Flying it upside down when you don’t need the coast guard to rescue you is an improper display of our national flag.

“ According to the U.S. Flag Code, flying the American flag shouldn't be flown upside down — with the stars at the bottom — "except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property." U.S. Flag Code is officially a law, but there aren't any federal punishments or enforcement for people who don't follow the code, according to Cornell Law School. So, it's not a particularly useful law. It sets the rules for when the American flag can be flown at half-staff (mourning) and how the flag shouldn't be used (for clothes, bedding, or drapery).”

I don’t think it’s specific to the high seas.

I've always been puzzled by the people who don't think it is disrespectful to wear the flag or its components as bikinis, swim trunks, shirts, underwear ...

I challenge you to read this. These are the actual documents of a number of Southern states setting forth their reasons for secession. Go to the source. Not some fiction you learned in your history classes in high school. Read the actual documents. Then come back and tell me you are proud of what that flag stands for. https://www.battlefields.org/learn/primary-sources/declaration-causes-seceding-states

Gotta love this quote from Mississippi’s secession declaration:

Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world. Its labor supplies the product which constitutes by far the largest and most important portions of commerce of the earth. These products are peculiar to the climate verging on the tropical regions, and by an imperious law of nature, none but the black race can bear exposure to the tropical sun. These products have become necessities of the world, and a blow at slavery is a blow at commerce and civilization. That blow has been long aimed at the institution, and was at the point of reaching its consummation. There was no choice left us but submission to the mandates of abolition, or a dissolution of the Union, whose principles had been subverted to work out our ruin. That we do not overstate the dangers to our institution, a reference to a few facts will sufficiently prove.

Whatcha got to say to that, Johnny Reb?

Our beautiful southern flag honors our valor on the field, courtly virtues and independence. Doesn’t have a damn thing to do with slavery, which was a horrific institution for which it seems we all keep paying the price.

You are brainwashed.

I know my history. The south was unhappy that Lincoln was elected (sound familiar?) so they tried to flat out ignore the election results and force federal troops out of federal property in Sumpter, SC. Then they attacked the federal troops that were stationed there. They hated Lincoln because he opposed the expansion of slavery into the western territories. The wealthy slave holding powers in the south manufactured the whole states rights BS so that they could get poor whites to die in order to maintain their own economic power through the enslavement of other human beings. Many southerners were actually Union supporters and were attacked on their own lands by their “honorable” brothers and neighbors. Imagine having your own neighbors burn your home and kill your family just because you want to stay an American citizen on your family farm?

Please explain what is honorable about attacking a US Army base? I bet you think Jan 6 was about honor as well, huh?

You lost. You are traitors against the democratically elected government of the USA. Take your delusional fairytales and go back to wherever you slithered out from.

+1000000

Look at that scumbag trying to hide behind ribbons and military honors as if that somehow makes him a patriot.

John Kerry had a bronze star as well but what do Trumpers say about him?

There's a difference between cutting up a flag to make clothing and using prints of the individual elements of the flag to make a garment.

Because many seem to be as uninformed as you are. Also, it is plain to see (Jan 6) that many people who fly the traitor flag plan to one day rise up and bring back their own version of the confederacy. It’s like a gang sign for a subversive element within this country who are more loyal to the south and their racist heritage than they are to the ideals of our modern democratic republic.

“Woke texts”? Like Mississippi’s secession declaration that was just quoted above that contradicts everything you are trying to spin? The one you ignored and didn’t respond to because it proves that you are full of shit?

That is very disrespectful. My military officer parent would never allow it for his 6 children.

Yep. We have nuts who speak of "spitting" on veterans because of their political stance. And, other nuts who "+1000000" the sentiment.
Disgusting. And, you wonder why veterans and service members overwhelmingly vote Republican. It isn't a mystery.

It’s not a “political stance” to try to overthrow the legitimate government that was democratically elected. Didn’t learn your lesson in 1865 so now I guess we’re going to have to crush you traitors once more.
