+1, it's easier to stay united when a country is 95%+ one ethnic/racial group with a long shared cultural history. The United States is an amalgamation of different peoples through different times. It's important to remind everyone what *is* shared between the people of this nation of mostly recent-generation immigrants: the promise of individual liberty and pursuit of happiness under the rule of law. |
DP My MAGA flag flies below the US flag and POW-MIA flag. Because I understand flag protocols from 21 years of service. Unlike you. |
You have a Confederate flag flying, too, Cletus? |
Do you know what means stars and bars? |
Is English your first language? |
| The google search engine will show you our beautiful southern flag flying in Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, Afghanistan. |
And WW2, WW1. |
Southern Flag? You mean the flag of the traitors? |
The southern boys who stormed Normandy and took over Afghanistan? The hounds called on the give blood for the union? |
No, that poster said stars and bars, which is the confederate flag. They’re proud of flying the flag of treason for the side that tried to destroy the USA so they could keep owning other human beings. |
Your service counts for nothing when you disgrace yourself as a traitor to our country. It just makes your actions all the worse. |
LOL says the group that loves to fly the flag of traitors and enemies of the US. |
I challenge you to read this. These are the actual documents of a number of Southern states setting forth their reasons for secession. Go to the source. Not some fiction you learned in your history classes in high school. Read the actual documents. Then come back and tell me you are proud of what that flag stands for. https://www.battlefields.org/learn/primary-sources/declaration-causes-seceding-states |
“my actions”? What are these actions you speak of? My CIB? My deployments? My Purple Heart with oak leaf? My Bronze Star with V device? Those actions? So all that counts for nothing, huh? The sad part is your own arrogance prevents you from appreciating how incredibly disgusting you sound. |
Gotta love this quote from Mississippi’s secession declaration: Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world. Its labor supplies the product which constitutes by far the largest and most important portions of commerce of the earth. These products are peculiar to the climate verging on the tropical regions, and by an imperious law of nature, none but the black race can bear exposure to the tropical sun. These products have become necessities of the world, and a blow at slavery is a blow at commerce and civilization. That blow has been long aimed at the institution, and was at the point of reaching its consummation. There was no choice left us but submission to the mandates of abolition, or a dissolution of the Union, whose principles had been subverted to work out our ruin. That we do not overstate the dangers to our institution, a reference to a few facts will sufficiently prove. Whatcha got to say to that, Johnny Reb? |
