You can have it. |
Unfortunately, I’ve owned some gmc vehicles. They start out ncie, then the shaking and rattling starts. The cheap plastic starts to break down and the squeaking starts. It’s enough to drive a person insane. Never again. They are prices of crap and there is no way is pay $80,000 or more for one. |
Every car manufacturer has its shares of lemons. Years ago I had a friend whose dad bought a new Mercedes that he grew to regret buying. |

LOL, what people waste money on is so entertaining.
Financial idiots are born every day. |
| No. Luxury is a brand. GMC is not a luxury brand but their cars can be expensive. |
The Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade is body-on-frame which is basically the same as a pickup truck. RR is unibody which is much safer in a crash and significantly better to drive. |
I’ve crashed BOTH of them (RR during an actual accident where we were struck broadside by a drunk, and the Tahoe intentionally into an improvised roadblock made of several cars, while working as a security contractor for SDDS overseas.) I’ll take the Tahoe in a crash any day over the RR. At least a pre-‘19 Tahoe. Don’t have any experience with newer ones. |
| Cheesy. |
I regretted my lemon Mercedes. DH has owned two Tahoes (essentially the same as a GMC) and had no issues with them at all in the 8 years he owned each. |
| Tahoes/Suburbans/Yukons/Expeditions are just overpriced minivans without the benefit of sliding doors. I immediately know 2 things about those who drive them: they are not good with money and overly concerned about image. |
+1 |
| Mercedes SUVs are built in the southern US (Alabama) and, frankly, have a build quality similar to US cars. Mercedes sedans like the E class and S class, however, are built in Germany and have fantastic built quality and reliability. |
You've got to be kidding. My Suburban is nothing like my Odyssey in form or function. Yes, I own both. |
| Personal inadequacy is a dime a dozen - not "luxurious" all. |
MB is plastic crap today. Doesn’t matter where it’s made, it’s all crap. |
