This is false. The Omicron variant is better protected by N/KN95 masks. The previous variants were ok with cloth. Masks were always better than no masks. I really don't know where people like you get this stuff, but please stop with the actual false information. Science evolves as the knowledge is gained. Just because something was true before but not now doesn't mean you were lied to.

Masks mean the difference between 15 minutes or less to get exposed (when unmasked) to several hours to get exposed (when properly wearing N/KN95). There are numerous studies showing this.

Supplies are still being delivered. This does not involve all truckers by any means. The huge crowds you see includes supporters as well as groups with their own agendas.

The state is responsbile for the health and welfare of its citizenry. Mandates for a vaccine are part of that responsibility. It's in the constitution, no matter how much the right wants to be selective about the document.

In the Canadian Constitution? I must admit I have no idea what is in the Canadian Constitution. I do know that Putin does not dare enforce vaccine mandates, and that power should surely be in his "constitution?"

Has any country actually instituted mandate vaccines for truckers? Or for whole populations? I am truly asking.
I know that many have instituted mandates for health care workers, feds, etc, but has any country ordered all citizens to be vaccinated with covid 19 vaccines?

For cross-border truckers. It’s an agreement betw the US and Canada that truck drivers have to be vaccinated to enter the country.

90% of Canadian cross-border truckers are reported to have been vaccinated. So this isn’t about their reluctance to be vaccinated. It’s the mandate. One can be pro-vax and anti-mandate.

Actually, the truckers are wildly popular in Canada and are on the verge of bringing Trudeau to his knees. One can only surmise that it’s not covered here in order to not spark a similar movement. Go on Twitter or you tube and see for yourself.

COE means cab over engine. You are pointing out that the graphic is of a North American truck. Canada should simply shut down all sale of diesel fuel unless it’s proven the truck is hauling something. Sorry owners of diesel vehicles and RVs. This is national security. I do think it may be the Russian kompromat that Putin just promised.

There are quite a few mandates on truckers, like all of the prior requirements for a commercial driver's license, which include meeting quite a few other minimum health requirements, like:

20/40 correctable vision in each eye

No history or existing diabetic condition that requires insulin injections

Ability to hear a forced whisper from at least five feet away in at least one ear

No issues of high blood pressure

Blood sugar levels are not above 200

Additionally, the medical examiner will see if you have a history of the following:

Cardiac or respiratory issues

Loss of hearing

Dizziness or fainting

Spinal cord injuries

Stroke

Brain or neurological disorders

Epilepsy or seizures

Digestive problems

Chronic pain

Psychiatric disorders

Kidney disease

Paralysis

Sleep apnea

You guys are missing the point. TONS of Canadian citizens are protesting, too. The truckers started it, but it’s much bigger than them now. People are stopping in public places to sing the national anthem in protest, etc. Canada had much more extreme policies that the US about schools, etc. People are protesting a wide array of covid policies on a grand scale.
