What are you suing for, then? |
They have established protocols in alignment with federal and state guidance. You have zero chance of getting any traction. But look, if you have money to throw down the toilet, go for it. |
I'm sick of this kind of garbage from the shut it down crowd. I'm a real person, a dad, from Maryland. My kid is in school today. because school is important enough that we're willing to take the risk. I'm not a troll, I'm not jetting back from vacation, and I'm not going to parties. I've never, to my knowledge, had COVID. I'm not your fantasy of who it is that disagrees with you. Take your "horror' and shove it. The fact that you can't control yourself from calling everyone who thinks "my kid should be in school" a troll and a sociopath and a murderer has totally poisoned the discussion. I'm also someone who, professionally, sues schools for a living. The idea that you're going to sue MCPS for any of this is nuts. |
I don't think anyone has said school is not important. You may not be any of those things, but you definitely do have your head in the sand |
I said school is important enough that we're willing to take that risk (in person instruction). Everyone who is keeping their kids home is saying otherwise. They might think education is unimportant, they might disagree about the risks, and they might have different risks than I do. I have no idea. Apparently not only it is too much to ask for you to believe I'm not a troll, but it's also too much to ask you to read the entirety of sentence that you bolded in your reply. That's sad. |
Your anxiety will kill you before COVID. |
This 1000x. It poisons the discussion when people dehumanize the people that want to keep schools open. There are plenty of us compassionate, liberally-minded people in MOCO who still badly want schools open. |
You might have some luck. Maryland is in a state of embergency and MCPS has not acted accordingly to meet risks associated with the stato emergency. |

Should we countersue someone for increases in depression, anxiety, teen suicide, self-harm, drug-use all exacerbated by extended virtual learning?
How completely ridiculous, OP. |
