College and University Discussion
+1 Though I was very surprised to see Smith College on that list. Haven't they acquiesced to nutty protesters several times in recent years? |
And you actually think all high school kids are freely sharing their political beliefs with you?
|
+1 There are plenty of conservative high schoolers and college students. |
Links for the bolded claims? We'll wait. |
Not really. I know plenty of alums and current students from conservative families. And, fwiw, all my relatives in NC (our family tree goes back pre-civil war) think Elon is a conservative school for rich kids. |
Yes, I know they are. Are you a high school teacher? |
No. I always take the conservative view in a discussion and they jump all over me. I have yet to meet one conservative high school student. |
How do you quantify “plenty”? What percentage? |
That's a small world to provide so much identifying info. |
| Another vote for both SMU and Clemson. Kids at both schools - both schools trend conservative. |
Oh, wow... you are so deluded. |
The vast majority of students at these types of schools are conservative or not so interested in politics. |
Again, are you a high school teacher? |
DP. Just curious why do you think kids in your class freely share their beliefs. When you teach the class do you present alternative view points including those that are not PC? Do you question liberal ideas from the conservatives view point? |
+1 No doubt the PP is obviously liberal, so liberal students feel comfortable sharing their politics with her. It's a given that there are conservative kids *everywhere* and none of them would dare challenge a liberal teacher (or liberal students). They simply stay quiet or pretend to agree. |
