How to convince DH to rehome dog?

I think there would be less of this if people weren’t shamed for needling to rehome.

OP. If you have not already rehomed the dog. My suggestion is you take the dog to a no kill shelter or a rescue and tell your husband that your dog slipped out the door and ran away and you couldn’t catch it.

When people complain about rescues and how picky they are and won't let people with kids adopt this is the reason why. Now we can stop flaming these organizations who are trying to adopt dogs to people who will not return them!

No, some rescues still need to be flamed for hoarding dogs who could go to loving homes. OP is an anecdote and an exception.

Yes exactly!

You work full time too. How is it that DH gets to say no doggy daycare. It’s usually about $30 for a full day. Take the dog once a week. Also, when you go on vacation you can usually board with them and both you and dog will feel more comfortable than going with strangers.
