MCPS High School Summer School - Starts Monday - No Log-in Info

My DD has a class that starts Monday morning and per an email last week from MCPS, it confirmed registration and said an email from the teacher was supposed to be sent this week.

She's heard nothing; we've emailed the County and have not received a reply.

Is anyone else's kid starting MCPS summer school on Monday and have yet to hear from their teacher?

Have your student log in to myMCPS Classroom (Canvas) and see if they have a new course for the class. If they do, it should unlock on Monday when the course starts. (That's what happened for my kid taking Health.) Hopefully the teacher will email soon. And as a side note, I think they were still hiring teachers this week, so that may be why you haven't heard yet.

Thank you for your reply. She logged in and checked and it is not listed there but she'll keep checking over the weekend.

Same here! The School counselor said it most likely was sent only to your kids MCPS email, which is bullshit.

We are in same boat. DD is signed up for health starting Monday. Haven’t gotten anything.

My kids can’t even log into MyMCPS. It’s locked.

The whole MCPS summer school program has been a shitshow. Changed schedules at the last minute, late on details, totally disorganized.

I received an e-mail from my kid's summer school teacher this afternoon. My kid probably did too but hasn't checked their e-mail(s) yet.

Got info from our HS principal that teachers just got rosters today and should be emailing students this weekend. Students should check their gmail accounts [e-mail]

Still no email with a Zoom link but I heard from someone else that most Summer School learning is via Apex Learning so I was able to login in and see the class (initial and student ID) and the classwork at least.

Yes, Apex Learning, and nothing in MCPS classroom. Went through same experience with no e-mail communication after contact summer school office, but on Friday afternoon, something came out for one class. Waiting for the other class.
