Random poll: Do you keep a glass of water by your bedside?

I do, even if I don’t always drink it. I recall a few times years ago I would wake up with a dry throat and ever since then, no matter what, I have to have water in arms reach when I go to bed.

I try to, in general. When I'm pregnant I always have water by my side, I go through 32 oz during the night alone. I bring the glass down in the morning and keep my house clean so I don't worry about it becoming dusty.

I keep a hydroflask-type knock off that keeps the ice still frozen by morning. Even if I don't drink it in the middle of the night, it's nice to wake up to.

Many many years ago, my dad kept a glass of water on his bedside table. One night he woke in the middle of the night and went to take a sip of water, and found a spider in it!
After that, he always used a carafe and glass set like this
