There are posters- one in particular- who use it incessantly as an opening comment to every post. Some of us are truly offended by this term.
Thanks for considering |
| I agree |
| Bible thumpers are taking over |
| Oh come on. Are you also offended by jeez? |
So would you prefer they wrote it out...Jesus F*u*king Christ? Is that better? JFC is way better! |
|
This seems like a slippery slope. Will people want "WTF" banned next?
|
| That’s crazy. I like using JFK, although sparingly because I feel guilty when I do. |

| I used it yesterday myself in a sarcastic response to the JFC poster. But let's be open here, it's generally used by non-Christians and there's that titillation of insulting Christianity when you deploy it. |
But don’t you agree that JFC is taking the name of the Lord in vain, and would be offensive to some? I ask this as a Christian who uses JFC because c’mon, it’s an awesome expletive. But I get why some wouldn’t like it. |
I have used it on occasion (I actually wonder if there is a single “JFC” poster). I will reconsider using it but I have to disagree that I use it for the titillation of insulting Christianity. Christians have been swearing with religiously significant phrases as long as there has been Christianity. Are we going to ban “zounds” too?! |
| No, JFC get a grip |

Which thread was it? I can’t remember if I JFCed a lot recently.
