| I support renaming military bases and forts that are named after Confederates and slaveholders. I know little about military history. What are the top suggestions? |
| Characters in a Jane Austen novel |
+1 |
| Have DC Comics and Marvel bid against each other. The highest bidder wins naming rights. |
| Victims of police violence |
| No people. Things in nature, like trees or flowers. |
| Other military heros. Let the military pick a different person from the same conflict as the person being removed. The rest of us don’t need to have a say. |
| We have plenty of medal of honor winners who aren’t traitors. Pick one of them. |
| No one. Location and number code. All heroes have feet of clay. No one is perfect enough right now. |
It’s important but it’s not the only thing that’s important; can we open our minds a little? |
This. There are plenty valiant and courageous men and women in the military past and present. We shouldn't name things after generals that we're racists and lost a war. Seriously. . |
I actually like this one. A great way to get some funding. |
Don’t make jokes about our service people who have their lives for us |
Until someone discovers an old photo of them in blackface or that they made an off color joke once way back when...then the names gotta be changed again. You’re never going to find a perfect person with zero flaws - but that seems to be what people want. |
I’m the 6:38 poster who initially made the “joke.” I served in the Marine Corps for 20 years and I’m a veteran of the Iraq War. You need to lighten up. |
