And you could not explain how it is possible but you needed it so much and it did happen.

Not saying it was zero, but a bunch of things had to perfectly and fall into place for this to happen-nothing could mess up. Hope this corresponds to your question.
We wanted to adopt a child and had the ability to do it internationally. Through someone my mom worked with, we found a person from a foreign country who was high enough to allow us to adopt from there (you generally had to be from that country's heritage to get a baby). Then, and this sounds insane, when walking the dog, we met a person who works with someone from that country who is a very successful entrepreneur. That individual met with the first person and together with a US Senator who was friends with the entrepreneur, pulled enough strings to get the paperwork done so that we could fly out there and bring home a baby. On another note with this, I traveled a lot for business and when coming home, would wonder if they next plane I got on would be to get a baby. And from where I live, there is an international carrier everyone takes to Europe, then connects to go to various countries. On my last trip for this company, arriving at night, I left my plane and saw a 747 from this airline with the tail lit up - had never seen this before and sure enough, we left soon after on the exact same airline, same kind of plane. If that isn't a sign, don't know what is. |
| Are you struggle through something, OP? There’s more than one thread about believing in miracles. |

My daughter (3 ish at the time) came like 2 seconds from falling out of a second story window once. Somehow the screen fell out and she was sitting on a table leaning out the window to look at the screen on the ground.
I still feel sick every time I think about it. It’s a miracle she didn’t fall out. |

I don't know if this would qualify as a "miracle", but here's the story:
My mother was on hospice and at home with my sister and me. Our older sister had passed away about 8 years earlier. My younger sister had a boss that one day said to her "Who is the tall girl with the big mouth that is always near you? I see her all the time with you ". He went on to describe our older sister to a "T", someone he had never met and who had passed away 8 years before. Her name was Karen. The day before my mother actually died, my sister's boss called her and left a message that she didn't listen to for a few days. By this time, my mother had passed away. The message said that her boss had had a vision of Karen in a doorway, calling to my mother and saying "come on....it's time". Within 12 hours, my mother was gone. Her boss had no idea that my mother was so near death at that point because she had taken a leave of absence. As if that was not enough, about 2 months before my mother died, she was very sick and near death in the hospital and we thought we were going to lose her. When she finally came back around, she told us that she had seen and talked to Karen and that Karen told her it wasn't time yet....that it was going to be a little longer before they could be together. I'm sure some could think this was all coincidence, but it still sends chills up my spine and still comforts me in many ways. |

| Not ZERO - but the house that I lived in as a kid had a short steep driveway directly across from a house with a very steep driveway sloping down -- with a street in the middle. I was sitting in a wagon and a "friend" pulled the wagon up our driveway and then let go of the handle. So, handle dragging -- so I could not in any way control the wagon - and backwards -- so I could not see, the wagon shot down our driveway and into the street, headed towards the neighbor's very steep downward sloping driveway. Just as I rode backwards into the street, a city bus turned the corner. My Mom said later that she glanced out the window to see the wagon in the street, then all she could see was the bus. She didn't know if I had ended up smashed into the door at the bottom of the neighbor's driveway or crushed by the bus. There was a narrow sidewalk just before the steep slope of the driveway began -- and that exact spot was where the wagon stopped. I had other near misses as a kid, but that's the one that feels the most like a miracle -- because the consequences could have been terrible, and the chance that the wagon would stop by itself in just that small spot seem small. Given the location, by the time the bus driver saw me, they probably would not have been able to stop the bus. So I escaped two potential tragedies in that one moment. So not "zero" but this feels very much like a miracle for me. |

Not a miracle but more of an "intervention".
Was driving behind this person going about 20-25 in a 30. No real reason for them to be driving so slow (no streets or businesses to slow down to find) but it was dark with no street lights so I just figured they were nervous. Whatever. Just followed behind at an appropriate distance and listened to my podcast. After about 5 minutes they pulled over to the side and I thought that it was nice they were letting me go ahead. I drove for about a minute and then all the hairs on my body stood up and I got this chilling feeling while "hearing" this voice say " turn around. Go back". I drove for about another minute and I felt physically ill. I was almost shaking. Turned around and drove back. Person was still pulled over. While thinking "you're an absolute moron" I approached the car and found the driver slumped over. He had gone into cardiac arrest and likely wasn't feeling well which was why he was driving so slow. I called 911 while pulling him out of the car. At the time, I was an ED nurse. Performed CPR and brought him back by the time the ambulance arrived. I met him later on and he made a full recovery. It took the ambulance 15 min to get there. He likely would not have survived if I didn't get that urgent need to turn around. |
Great story! So glad you went back, pp! |

What fascinates me is that between the two recent posts - your lowest point t hat tested your faith and the miracle,
this one is absolute winner with 9 replies, where the other has no takers. |
No, I just like happy stories.
