Yes.

It makes me a little mad - ok a lot mad actually - at the way he was just pushed out of the running by the big donors and party insiders. It was shameful the way he was treated. I really have a lot of anger over it that I haven’t processed. I’m not sure what I’m going to do, but last night reignited my rage over how President Biden has been treated the last month.

And I’m not goin to lie, there’s a cynical bitter streak inside me that would be highly amused and perhaps even a little satisfied to see Trump win, as a fitting punishment for what the party insiders and big donors did to Joe.

Okay, but think about two years from now when we are well into Trump's second term. Do you really want to be there? Sometimes you have to vote for the party you want or frankly, the lesser of two evils. I am terrified of Trump and his puppeteers getting back in power. That's all that really matters. We need to move on from this crazy era!

Because I’m not a crazy person who lives and dies by politics, as so many here do, I think I’ll manage just fine. I survived a Trump presidency just fine before, and I’ll survive another one. You will too. But I will freely admit the thought of hearing so many who just up and turned their backs on President Biden screeching and screaming at another Trump term does make me get a little evil smile. Because that will be such poetic justice for those people. I’m not sure what I’m going to do on Election Day. I won’t vote for Trump, certainly not. But I’m pretty upset at Democratic Party leadership and big donors. If they want to win, they might just have to do it without me.

This is just politics. I have more important things in my life. You should too.

"Politics" directly places its hands on the scale of many people's lives. Lucky you that it doesnt.

Also survival isnt necessarily the goal for most people.

Yes. A bowel movement.

Yes, it's cleaning out the Trump turd.

Are you under the impression that Trump has been President the last four years? You seem to think so.

Weird.

Has anyone told Trump that he hasn’t been the president for the last 4 years? 😂

You mean we’re supposed to hail Democrat politicians abandoning decorum? Their kids mocking the process by which citizens learn about the candidates? Democrat Dads kissing their daughters as if they’re greeting each other at the porch door rather than modeling this kind of behavior in front of hundreds of millions of people?

I guess you prefer to see GOP Dads groping their daughters on the convention stage?

What people forget is these so-called “GOP Dads” have generated jobs and careers and wealth for so many people. So they have earned the right to take some liberties from time to time, to enjoy the spoils and fruits of their labor so to speak.

Are you joking? It is a sick joke, if you are. If you are serious, I am sorry for your brain rot!

Vance yelled at his kids when Trump called and McConnel's kids don't speak to him. Trump's kids are all dealing the trauma from his narcissistic abuse. Their dad buried their mom in a shoddy and overgrown grave at his golf course. GOP dads? LOL

Ivanka must have been in charge and she agreed to bury her there because it was free. If any of her children had given a tinker's dam then one of them could have hired someone to keep her grave well kept
None did.

Now we know this is just another lie because Trump spoke to a janitor there who told him that he had never seen such a miniscule crowd. Probably 75-80 people total!

Are you aware that he's trying to run for POTUS? The DNC is having a movement to push that turd out.

I thought that too, I wonder if people had second thoughts. His outstanding speech just confirmed he is capable, was capable of running our country, putting rumors to rest that his cabinet was covering up for him. Maybe he just had a bad night.

Last night was emotional for me, moved by seeing people proudly standing together; this is really about rescuing democracy.

It would be too risky.

What if he decompensated close to the election? We can’t risk Trump as president again.

Well, that would achieve the opposite of honoring Biden, because his sacrifice would have been in vain.

Governor Gavin Newsom

let Trump win

+1

-signed an ex Californian

Most people who live there feel he has broken the state.

Why one earth do you think Americans would want the Governor of CA to be POTUS?

?

You are obviously in the minority.

Did you miss the only fans woman? The guy who beat his wife? The pillow guy? The one who had just been released from prison? The professional wrestler?

Sorry if that was the type of convention you were hoping for.

I’m hearing “cringy” all over tik tok. Of course, nothing else, just “cringy”. Would you care to elaborate on what made it “cringy”?

I watched and found nothing cringy at all. Maybe it's just a talking point republicans were prepared to blast on social media hoping they could mislead folks who didn't watch?

What's cringy about the married couple talking about their devastation having a miscarriage and then the bleeding wife not being given any medical care due to Trump's policies and judges. I appreciated a man (just like Tim Walz did re: IVF) speaking about how reproductive freedom for women is a man's issue too and will impact men. What's cringey about a young woman explaining how current abortion laws in some states wouldn't have allowed her to get an abortion despite incest when she was raped at 12: "how is it a beautiful thing for a child to give birth to her father's child?"

What was cringy about Warnock's oratory? Or Biden's forceful and emotional speech? Or Jasmine Crockett? Or HRC?

Perhaps they didn't like Harris being humanized by people who've known her for decades? Or Biden being praised by his wife and only surviving daughter?

It appears that some republicans are so used to a diet of cynicism and negativity that genuine joy and hope and unity causes them to cringe. I feel fortunate that I don't feel that way. Several times last night I had to rub tears from my eye or felt genuine happiness and I'm grateful for it.

Well stated.
