Kamala Harris for President

Like, less than a week ago, if you told the average young progressive voter that Kamala’s the next president they’d jump into a vat of hot oil while screaming “Cop!” And now she has memes all over Twitter about how amazing she is?!

It’s really baffling. I went from having to yell at friends who were committed to not voting this election, one of them who actively works in campaigning, and now they’re more excited to vote than me??

We needed the energy of the last 2 days to kick the Dems into gear.

They might not be the same people. Overall the young people want a younger candidate, just like the rest of us.

People did some actual research to see what her record was instead of relying on talking points.

That’s definitely true, but as one of those young people (24), I’ve seen remarkable change amongst friends and their intention to vote. People still hate her background but something really clicked that trump is the other option for many people.

I donated a lot of money in 2016 and worked my butt off on 2020, but I did nothing this year. I was going to vote for Biden but did not feel like doing anything. I thought I would not be excited about Harris either. I was so wrong. As soon as Harris took over the Biden campaign, I went to actblue and made my first 2024 donation. Harris being a real candidate is so much more exiting and powerful than imagining...

Because young people were mad at Biden and didn’t feel seen or respected by the party. Biden steps aside following pressure from his constituents and they felt seen and heard. Now they’re willing to believe the party hears them. Let’s see if they deliver!!

I’m kinda scared that she’s pulling a lot of pop culture moves like HRC. She’s not as “smooth” as Obama, and people hyper criticize women as incompetent for trying to seem relatable

Or it’s a bunch of astroturf. Nobody likes Kamala. She is a well-recognized moron.

Or actually, I bet it’s Beyoncé given her letting Harris use her song

I think this is it.

The country is no less appalled and disgusted by Trump, they are more so, in fact. But everyone had really gotten down about the possibility of Biden not being strong enough. Biden would've squeaked it out, but it wouldn't have made anyone feel good.

Now, we're ready to party and get the damn job done!

Could be both.

Yes, America can’t wait to have celebrities once again tell them what to believe and who to vote for. Honestly, I think those types of events are a negative.
