SOP is all parties are out of the residence/building/property being searched. I’ve never heard of cameras being shut off. That’s bizarre. And immediately fosters speculation of improprieties on behalf of the agency conducting the search.

There is nothing improper or necessarily unusual about an AIC requesting that a security system being disabled in a case such as this. The lawyers present on behalf of Trump Org could have declined in the absence of a court order or exigent circumstance that might permit pulling the plug. The FBI isn’t in the business of taking actions in the hope it might stop some wacko from spreading baseless conspiracy theories. They are however in the business of protecting their own agents. And there is no shortage of anecdotes of LEO disabling dash cams, ring video cameras or entire surveillance systems. [/quote]
