| Phase 4 full time training |
So why haven't ECNL put out an announcement that spring season is over/canceled? Are these kids expected to practice for the months of June and July? I'm just trying to understand why at the beginning of summer, they are putting out these "return to play guidelines". |
| 2 weeks each phase. Build resilience to injury. Return to play healthy, fit, injury-free by late July to August. |
|
The fine print points out that two weeks is a dependent on public health officials and overall situations. I think two weeks per phase is kind of a minimum.
"These recommendations are intended to provide a phased return to training that will be implemented at different times by organizations throughout the country based on local disease burden, local restrictions and gating criteria, local resources and club environmental characteristics." These recommendations do not supersede national, state or local laws or requirements. Member clubs should continually abide by all applicable restrictions in their community and should attempt to comply with all recommended guidelines where possible. |
| Will clubs be allowed to use school fields if schools are closed? BRYC practices at Woodson and I just heard from my sons school that summer school is distance learning. Schools are going to stay closed at least through July |
It is highly unlikely that they would allow it. Can you imagine potential liability issues if there is an COVID outbreak after a practice? |
“Don’t know much about biology...” or waivers or contracts or causation . . . |
But maybe a little about optics, news reports, community outrage |
| Many organizations, including BRYC are waiting for permits to be reinstated, June 10th. The only organization that will access to fields will be FCV, since Evergreen is privately owned. |
Well true, there are plenty of other stupid people out there who would imagine outbreaks among kids emerging from a practice session of soccer. All true. It’s a good thing that I don’t let any mob of stupidity determine how to live my life, regardless of their ideological stripe. Obey the law, yes, but let a bunch of hysterical bunnies make my choices for me? I don’t think so. |
No, you’re stupid all on your own. |
I don't think he's stupid. |
Just independent. I don't need others to tell me how to live intelligently, nor do I feel the compulsion to tell others how to live their lives -- an obsession you obviously feel more strongly as people continue to disagree with you. I am sorry you have to live this way, and sorrier still you'll raise your kids to live this way. Genuinely sorry. But to each their own. |
