Clubs making offers?

Anonymous
I've seen several people claim that their clubs (at least the top teams at those clubs) have begun to extend offers for the Fall. If your club has done this, what are they saying about deposits and how they expect to handle the potential for no soccer in the Fall?

Our club said the deposit is non-refundable even if there is no fall season. They will stop collect the future payment until fall training starts. Payment for spring season was converted into donation to the club, so no refund.

This entire thread is meaningless with no club names.

Offers with no payment would be nice, let’s the families and kids know they will have a place to play without taking money most families need at this time

The last communication from Achilles on April 16 was that tryouts for fall were unlikely and all current players would be notified no later that May 31 letting them know whether or not they will be offered a spot. No mention of $$.

If you can't afford to lose thousands of dollars, it seems foolish to commit to any travel team for next year. We are going to go back to rec for a year, because it is a significant cost to us.

Haven't heard anything yet about travel and have one child on a red team and another on a black team. I was told that some of the ECNL teams were being told that the plan is for the roster to essentially stay the same with the possibility of additions later Summer or early Fall if tryouts are possible.

Pipeline is hoping to have tryouts this summer for team placement and new additions. All current players have been guaranteed spots. No request for deposits, typically that follows tryouts.
