This is us, too. We can afford to eat $200 if fall rec gets canceled, but not $2000/ x 2 kids. I think one of my two might enjoy rec more anyway, if he can get on a team with school friends.

We just ran the budget last night for our house and it’s rec soccer for all three kids for the fall/spring. Hoping the season goes forward and we will try some supplemental classes if we can.

We've been doing travel for over 6 years now and sometimes I wish to go back to rec. Cheaper, closer, less time commitment, etc. The problem is the level of play and commitment is so different from both players and coaches.

My husband says every year we're done ($$$), but I just can't do that to my kids... Once, you're passed U12 is hard to go back.

11:26 here, well, my U14/2006 is going to be in the SFL if fall soccer happens after years of rec. A friend's dad coaches so we are going to try to get him on to that team if possible.

my 2011 and 2010 kids will be fine with a year of rec and playing with school friends.

If clubs were guaranteeing a 100% refund for fall if soccer is canceled, I would be less cautious.

So essentially, you have some time to see how things go. Unless you want to save $300 bucks and you pay it all up front which would be dumb considering the unknowns.

how is this seeing how it goes? Aren't you still required to pay the remaining amount- even if fall is is cancelled?

required how?

Haven't heard anything yet about travel and have one child on a red team and another on a black team. I was told that some of the ECNL teams were being told that the plan is for the roster to essentially stay the same with the possibility of additions later Summer or early Fall if tryouts are possible.

most of the ecnl clubs have to do this considering offers can go out as of a few days ago.

gotta lock in your existing team and supplement players later on.
And if youre a good ecnl coach, youve been having players coming to your practices for the last few months anyways so you know them.

oh- the question was about ECNL clubs making offers- what clubs other than ECNL clubs are making offers at the moment???

This is the original question... No mention of ECNL, just Clubs in general.

Got any input?
