Don’t let my bad grammar get in the way of the truth. For clarity 3 2011s can play U14 in regional showcases only this upcoming year. GA is changing age groups and it will start in Fall 26. |
🙄 constant buzzing of the same BS |
The truth will set you free! |
| ECNL board will meet next week to decide on final rule changes for 25/26. Doesn’t sound like any adjustments for trapped players is on the agenda. |
The first set of games in Texas are in two weeks (Labor Day Weekend). Seems kind of late to make any real changes. |
I meant to say not the agenda. And ECNL is meeting next week and will then have a directors meeting to let them all know what changes will be made. Idk what they will be I just know that’s what my daughter’s coach said. |
Would assume no significant changes to the rules. |
And….? |
Ended up just being my kid and the coach/doc. I wasnt on the call unfortunately. The saga lives on another day. |

Why is everyone nervous in this board. SY or BY just play
|
Well it’s SY for 26/27 but no reason ti be nervous. The best players will continue to make the top teams. Best player on my daughters ECNL team is July she will still be a top player next year. |
Ok, so no worry for top player on each top girls team. Boys have much more competition though. And top kids on a clubs top team could get the opportunity to bounce to a better team. It would make sense for everyone to be anxious. The oblivious are like those that drown making fun of Noah. Next year is the time to prepare for your next team and give up on the current one that is going to be reinvented anyway. |
Nervous? If you completely redefine who is eligible, clearly there will be some who benefit and some who lose out (hmm sounds like politics). It's also a random anonymous board so you're getting the most extreme opinions. |
Yup! Parents even on ECNL teams don’t realize what’s happening. Even on the good teams. Spoke with a parent over the weekend and you should have seen there face when I explained the 6 Q3/4 2010s at the club can play 2011 next year. And that’s just from my club not to mention the others around us. |
| I think the number of parents preferring a RAE over leaving BY is closer to 50/50 than people realize. The crazies on this forum are a selective group. Most real soccer people know that playing up even within an age group makes you better and by age 16 it largely shakes out with RAE. |
