Any tips on exercising with a mask.... socially distanced of course. Should I make a fabric mask?
As a walker, I would appreciate it if you did. But I imagine it is very warm and hard to breathe in one.
If you’re not around people then you don’t need one at all.
I haven't worn a mask before but will add one for grocery shopping, since the CDC recommended. I won't add for running ... I make sure to distance and find trails with few people as possible. And when running, I can easily get out of the way and give people more than 6 feet.
Wear that mask you running sweating fools out there
I will not wear a mask to run. I'll just give people 6 feet.

Wearing a mask reduces oxygen intake.
On the other hand, people wear masks for training — to simulate higher altitudes. You can buy “altitude masks”. So wearing a mask is actually good for you. |
Running while wearing a mask sounds like death, and I honestly think I'd rather risk it. I'm not getting very close to anyone anyway.
As a walker, are you wearing one? |
No, no and no. I give 6 feet. I'm not wearing a mask while running 5+ miles.
Definitely didn't wear one but also made a point to get 6+ feet out of everyone's way. Only wearing a mask for people dense environments (stores, even an outdoor farmer's market). But not for walks or runs outside.
Ran 16km through neighbourhoods this morning and did not wear a mask. Not hard to avoid dogwalkers, strollers and bikers as neighbourhoods are quiet and so it's easy to pass by running into the middle of the road. I probably passed 40 people and only one family were wearing masks. I think we need to use commonsense.
I'm not, but I run early in the morning and live in the burbs. I rarely see a single person. Like maybe once every few months I see someone walking their dog off in the distance.
i don’t think I am going to be doing. I just don’t want to wear one myself. I feel good.
Lolol! I'd pay to see that.
