Uptick everywhere that people are going inside because, baby, it's cold outside.

This difference too is schools returned to 100% in person with no distancing and minimal precautions.

We don't know that, but let's just assume it is. Particularly given the general decrease in case severity with the broad rollout of the vaccines, it is absolutely sensible to accept more cases to keep schools open to all students.

No it is not when there are outbreaks. Hire a nanny.

There is no need to. Schools are open.

And education. It’s amazing how things work so great together. Like peanut butter and chocolate.

So, your kids health and safety isn't as important as free child care. Nice.

??? In-person is as safe as it's ever going to be. Vaccines and masks. We'll be talking about new variants in 2025 and beyond. Are you really not springing your kids into the world until they're 18? How are their bodies going to be equipped to go from 0 to 60 like that?

A staff member in my building died last year after catching COVID. I just heard about another teacher at another school who died recently.

There is a lot of under the radar stuff that schools don’t broadcast. There is is risk in keeping schools open even if kids are the least likely to get hurt.

There is risk in keeping grocery stores, restaurants, malls, etc. (other places teachers visit) as well. That’s planet Earth going forward now.

Reporting Georgetown Prep is going virtual not MCPS and that an elementary school in Hartford County had 101 cases before last weeks surge. Buckle up it’s getting messy.

There is also risk in keeping schools closed. We should all have learned that by now.

It would be your child care, too, if you had a child-care-aged child who was in school. Such a weird argument.

Any chance mcps will go virtual around or after the holiday break?

Why is that true? Sure, I get it that DL was an inconvenience but anyone who cares about their children's education did just fine.

When I had kids, I wasn't signing up to spend all this time with them. I thought that was the county's job.
