They know this and will not have loyalty to another club that shows that they value the boys program over the girls. Who knows, maybe GA has it right being a girls only club. I give them credit for that, because whenever the boys are tied to the girls, the girls get hosed. But most ECNL girls have worked hard to get where they are and want to play in college. Until GA starts placing more girls than ECNL, and until more scouts go to GA events than ECNL events, they will choose ECNL. They know, they are talking, and they will leave. All this talk about staying NVA and beating up on the GA competition is nonsense, because the ECNL girls will leave and the club will eventually realize they killed their girls program. McLean only left because they had no choice, it was their only way out of a union they regretted. NVA is apparently doing this willingly to the girls and the girls will not forgive them. Most are openly talking amongst themselves already which ID sessions they are going to.
spoken like a parent who’s in the know. THIS IS THE WAY…

Off principle my DD will be as others said… taking time off or playing for another GA club if they cant find a new roster spot.

NVA can rest on their laurels w the older teams who have committed. But the younger ones ….. lmao in the wind. And whichever ecnl club manages to snag the 2012s as a whole will be the smartest in the region.

I will bet you English grammar lessons, which you really need, no club takes the whole 2012 team. It doesn't work that way. This is simply delusional parent talk.
the word is out… if you are nervous you guys should be. Hubris and poor planning and communication doesn’t work out well in the end.

Blah, that 2012 team wouldn’t win it all in GA either…

This is true. Likely, this was a parent of one of the "lesser" players posting. The parents of the "stars" or mid players aren't worried. They know their kid will find a team. The moms and dads of bench warmers are experiencing tightening sphincters right about now.
from a business pov NVA is probably banking on the parents of the bench players going to GA or Aspire or whatever it is called as the starter will flee to greener pastures.

Its clear there are NVA staff in the chat. Think before you post. Tons of former girls are having a ball at Revolution on multiple teams who will welcome teamates who dont feel like sticking around.

And they actually have a facility… with a real bar… and bartender… and working tvs and…..

And a better parking lot.

The credit will go to whichever league and club they last played in despite it being completely irrelevant to their success. Whether ECNL or GA is the top league is in the hands of the CUSTOMERS and no one else. The choice that customers (players/parents) make will shape the landscape, not any strategic move by these leagues.

EXACTLY. Everybody wants to throw their opinion using data or information on the past few years or current clubs U16-U19's, all of this isn't relevant. Collegiate soccer is changing, roster limits are going to change what the ECNL has been doing post DA collapse. Do your research, ask around, find the best fit for your DC and don't take marketing based on what is going on currently as what is best, it is VERY likely to change. Parents have the power to change things, it happened in one offseason last year at FCV. These moves and what happens definitely affects kids but we're talking U14's and younger most likely, those are the players and teams that will alter the course of where this youth soccer turf war heads.

Probably just a parent from a team that consistently loses to that 2012 team

people are already making moves. Off of principle and relationships they will probably be heading to ecnl team, revolution and then tsj if they are still a thing.

Girls get nothing from mlsn and nothing from being loyal to this club. Lol laughable to think they can keep the caliber of players they have who at bear tolerate the coaches when they aren’t voting them away…..

Cant wait to see how this plays out

Can't wait to see how it play's out as well. I bet people are already talking through their relationships but the long play can't deny that FVU losing Mclean is a big deal. Mclean held the power in that relationship. Say what you will about the recent few years but as a whole, the recruting to the next level ran through Mclean.

Girls side maybe, boys side McLean had nothing. So while the boys side at FVU isn’t great McLean has low ranked ECNL-R teams and no presence or love in ECNL.
It will be a lot of rebuilding for those MLS Next2 teams.

Theres no guarantee ECNL will honor that charter now that McLean has left. So probably not, ECNL is Arlington and VDA now ECNL East and ECNL West or North and South depenidng on how you holding your phone.

Everyone’s been saying that TSJ is losing GA, so congestion no longer.

but wouldn’t that need to be announced soon with id sessions happening?

they're probably put out similar messaging that MYS put out yesterday "opportunities available through the GA will offer a high level of competition" which could be GA1 or GA Aspire

There’s no way nva can stay ECNL and Loudoun go GA that just doesn’t make sense.

Oh it does make sense alright, but there’s a reason you’re not pulling 200k running any of these orgs, yes?

Imagine NVA respected their players and parents enough to announce something either way

Being demoted to GAAspire. How can they argue with that, they have teams that can't travel to national events because of insufficient roster sizes, teams that have not scored a goal in the 2024-25 season to date. They are lucky GA just didnt boot them out completely.

Great conversation. With all the shake up, NVA players will either go to VDA or FVU (if indeed the rumors are accurate). The notion that it will be easy to make either FVU or VDA is ridiculous. Both clubs are very competitive and will field good teams. Both teams are a few pieces away from doing very well in the post season. Ultimately many of the parents on here are correct, if your kid can ball they will ball in any environment, league, or team.

But these girls all wanted to be on an ECNL team, their choice, and they realize they have been sacrificed for the boys AGAIN. I actually hope GA takes over, maybe then the girls teams will get some normalcy, stop being sacrificed for the boys, and respect.

lol. Imagine thinking the boys don’t matter in this.. it’s a win win.

GA college placement is still good. And boys get MLSN.

Arlington needs to watch out. If the boys side is the only one left in ECNL in a few years………they might start asking for MLSN
facts… 2011s vs boys is an easy choice
