Yarbrough was the worst! Huge bully. Paint Branch has a long history of poor leadership

She was my principal at Key MS - her last year was the year I came in. Beyond caring to everyone, staff and students. Has won multiple leadership awards.

Well you are lucky. I worked for her and she was awful - had an inner circle of favorites, dismissive of concerns brought by others, spoke rudely and in an angry tone much of the time, didn't follow MCPS process or procedures in many areas because "it was her school." She has had multiple harassments complaints made about her since she moved to Baltimore County that have been shared on Twitter.

Guess it goes to show that two people can have very different experiences with the same person.

100 percent this. Donny English represents the interests of MCPS, which has an interest in this going away as quietly as possible. Don’t forget that.

The victims need their own legal representation. I’m shocked that the Teacher’s Union is not providing that. Perhaps they should ban together for a class action lawsuit since that’s the corner MCPS is pushing them into.

MCPS has had an opportunity to investigate and they failed. The lawyer interviews is just to twist what the victims say and hurt their chances if they decide to sue. It is not justice. It’s just another opportunity for MCPS to hurt the victims.

To their credit, MCEA said anyone who wants representation for these interviews can get it. That’s great but I want to see MCEA go on offense and start putting pressure on other entities to launch real investigations.

An article in the Post yesterday said otherwise. It was stated by the same person that made allegations in the initial Post report that she was told MCEA would not come with her. If that is untrue certainly puts into question her credibility.

It might have been true at the time she talked to the post but MCEA sent out a letter yesterday promising support for the meetings.

Just like MCPS, MCEA is being reactive to the WaPo coverage..they looked terrible in that article and are walking it back. What a sh$tsh0w. To all the teachers involved, I am so sorry. You deserve better.

Seriously. How terrible of the union. They are in damage control mode too. Only provides help after being blasted by the post

MCEA should have known months ago that an article would eventually come out – they tried to write it in the winter, but staff are still too afraid of retaliation from Joel. MCEA should be doing better for their people.

MCEA did not find out about this with the rest of us. According to Martin, they directly encouraged their members to take this story to the press after MCPS's internal processes proved unsuccessful.

MCPS has known about this for years. MCEA has also known.

Please do not let this disappear from the news cycle and get swept under the rug. These teachers need the support and fight from the public since obviously no one else is supporting them.

We all need to continue to press MCPS for answers and to hold them accountable. Reach out to the BOE, County Council and the MD State AG.

+1. This school system has fallen so far. It’s giving me PG vibes.

Pg is sounding good right now.

Hell, Frederick looks good right now. As I said earlier, MCPS leaders know what they were doing when they headed over to FCPS.

Yup. If I’m any neighboring county, I’m making a subtle, strategic blitz for MCPS staff right now (who do the right thing). Morale is at rock bottom.

I'm a MCPS staff member who lives in Urbana and find myself more and more grateful each day that my kids attend FCPS. MCPS is in shambles right now.

This is not your soap opera. Get a life people and move on. The show is over.

I know you people in central office would love that to happen. But it’s not going away this time
