Jen has fallen so much over the last few years. I don’t recognize this person trying to sell all this stuff all the time. She used to be a woman with a real voice and message. Now it’s all about getting money from people. |

We were an old ANC family back in the days of when they were led by Brandon and Tray before Jason Morriss. There were some wonderful people there at the time and it was exciting partnering for Gospel based justice work near and far. The Hatmakers though were clearly in it for the fame and personal elevation. That became pretty clear to most people who joined at the time but we all sort of accepted it quietly. The community and fellowship of the church at the time made up for it. I don’t think ANC is like this anymore, though, from what I hear. I don’t think any Hatmaker goes there anymore apart from an occasional pop in. |
I think of myself as a pretty savvy person who can sniff out bull#*#} from a mile away.
That's why I sort of can’t believe there was a brief moment I was their sucker. They are both pretty great at being fake and grifting. She especially. |
Pic? It can't be as bad as whaat I'm picturing. Can it . . . ? |
I bet it is. Why would you want to see something like that which you can't unsee? |
What was the Princess Kate thread locked at 500+ posts yet this random thread continues? |
It’s not random! This is my favorite thread. I agree with some other poster who said her clothes are too small- the jeans in her most recent posts are a great example. |
Jen is a grade z ex semi celebrity who is only really, honestly discused in this little corner of the internet. She hasn't been culturally relevant in years but she has left a string of victims who have receipts and enjoy trading receipts with others on this thread. We know what she's really about and it's catharsis to know there are others out there who have similar experiences. Some through the mommy blogger world, some are through ANC and some like me are from even earlier church engagements. |
This is the best thread on dcum in my opinion, and I never heard of Jen prior |
Is anyone going to comment on Tyler's mom being stopped by the cops in the mostly-white neighborhood? Apparently, she was staying with friends who live in a neighborhood that is suspicious of black folks walking around it. Tyler didn't say if it was gated. His mom took a walk and a crazy neighbor called the cops saying a "Haitian woman had come out of the ocean and was walking in the neighborhood."
Why would the cops believe such a crazy call? Methinks this is a nutter who regularly bugs them a la Gladys Kravitz. But a weird story all around. Tyler seems to glom onto the bat$hit crazy white folk encounters and cast it as his whole experience with white people. |

What hurt the most was the self-glorifying totally ungracious and hurtful tale they spun regarding why they started ANC and left the “mega church” they served at before.
That THEY were the saviors who were going to reform a corrupt, fake, and empty church that was all only about the surface and materialism. They both hurt a lot of people on the way out. Now fifteen years later you just have to shake your head. It was all about their own brands and personal ambitions. Wolves in sheep’s clothing to the core. There’s real rot there. You see it when you get close. It leaves a mark on you. |
I remember Jen painting a very unflattering picture of a woman who attended her bridal shower and gave her a homemade gift. The lady was odd, but I thought it was terribly ungracious of Jen to include it in a Bible study of all things. |
Tyler is the ultimate grifter. And if the story happened as he shared it, that’s humiliating and disrespectful to his mom. But it was NOT life and death and it’s a myth that it’s life and death and everyone, media included, need to stop pretending like unarmed black ppl are at risk in every encounter with law enforcement. The data does not support this. The media/anecdotes may seem that way but it’s not true. |
