There is a confirmed case of a DCPS student too. And a DC private school student. Before this pandemic is over students at all types of schools will be impacted. |

| how the heck are folks getting "confirmed" cases without any place having tests? My kiddo has 100% of the symptoms but because they are mild and no one else we know with symptoms has been able to get tested (so no way to id we have been in contact with someone that is positive) no testing.. |

| Each day the Mayor's office has been sending out a list of all known cases in DC with the age and gender of the patient. As of 8pm on Thursday, March 19 there is only one known case in a patient under the age of 20, an 8-year-old boy. |

There was an original report that there was a student from Rocketship Rise. That was incorrect. WASHINGTON (ABC7) — The Rocketship Rise Academy Public Charter School announced Wednesday a student has been diagnosed with presumed COVID-19. On Thursday, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said the school was "misinformed" and said the student had not been tested nor did the student receive a positive result. "We have directed the family to go back to the medical provider and seek a test," Bowser said when she was asked about the case. "We understand that test has been made and the results are pending, so we will not be reporting any positive tests of a minor tonight." A few hours later, the Mayor's office told ABC7 that the student's results came back negative. |

Yup. The kid from SE was only tested after Rocketship raised the alarm and prematurely announced that he was presumed positive. |
