Each day the Mayor's office has been sending out a list of all known cases in DC with the age and gender of the patient. As of 8pm on Thursday, March 19 there is only one known case in a patient under the age of 20, an 8-year-old boy.
There was an original report that there was a student from Rocketship Rise. That was incorrect. WASHINGTON (ABC7) — The Rocketship Rise Academy Public Charter School announced Wednesday a student has been diagnosed with presumed COVID-19. On Thursday, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said the school was "misinformed" and said the student had not been tested nor did the student receive a positive result. "We have directed the family to go back to the medical provider and seek a test," Bowser said when she was asked about the case. "We understand that test has been made and the results are pending, so we will not be reporting any positive tests of a minor tonight." A few hours later, the Mayor's office told ABC7 that the student's results came back negative.
