they have one job...

And the idea that some 90 year old is leaving a legacy of inaction for his great grandchildren is just so galling.

And a lot of interest they’ll be paying on the new line of credit that they need at current rates.

The Republican National Committee's year-end filing reveals it had its worst fundraising year since 2013 in absolute dollars and its worst since 1993 in inflation-adjusted figures.

It raised $87.2M, spent $93.5M, and had just $8M on hand and $1.8m in debt.

And Trump's gonna be broke after E. Jean Carroll and the NY Fraud cases.

Weird that "unapologetic" Christians completely reject core teachings of Christ like taking in refugees, feeding the poor, taking care of the sick and so on.

Conservative "Christians" like Johnson should be apologizing for being frauds to their supposed faith.

What is it that someone on the internet used to call them? Leviticans? Because they certainly weren’t Jewish but they also ignored the whole part of the Bible that Jesus appeared in. “Is slavery bad?” isn’t supposed to be a gotcha.

They are radical fundamentalists, no different than the radicals in other religions like the Taliban.

Broken and out of touch. The right wing bizarre conspiracy and reaction to Taylor Swift perfectly encapsulates how out of touch MAGA is with everyday Americans. Swift is by far the most famous, popular, successful, and discussed entertainer. The NFL is the most dominant source of entertainment in America.

MAGA continues to show us they are a shrinking movement, focused on weird things like Bud Light & Disney, anti-science like vaccines, anti-freedom like telling women what to do with their bodies and now it’s… a musician and a football player’s romance?

Last I checked none of those things lowered food prices, increased wages or improved quality of life.

By picking these culture war fights, this loud minority demonstrate how disconnected they are from typical American life.

I continue to hope that Trump vacuums GOP money for his lawsuits leaving less and less for the actual campaigns that are taking place this year.

They all deserve each other.

YES I read this piece when it first came out many years ago and have linked it here several times. It’s perfect.

Oops.

The ten Oregon Republican state senators who walked out for six weeks last year in an attempt to block bills on abortion, trans rights, and gun reform are not eligible to run for reelection per the Oregon Supreme Court.

Oregon voters passed a 2022 constitutional amendment to prevent state legislators with more than ten unexcused absences from running again in the next election.
