Whatever you call it, 11 on the field and 14 on the bench is not great for development.

Perhaps a 6 month season is not good for development? But ECNL was never about development as much as it was about showcases.

Any league whose schedule requires teams to carry 16 or more bench players to get through a 6 month compressed schedule may not have the kids best interest at heart.
