I think it’s Welsh or British. I never heard it before but I think it’s so pretty. Pronounced Bron-win.
I’m having a boy so it’s not an option but just putting it out there for others! |
| RHOC fan? |
| I knew a lovely Bronwyn. I'm pretty sure that she was an English major. |
It is of Welsh origin, which is British, OP. Wales is in Britain. The only Bronwyn I knew was really bitchy, but I like the name. |
| Pretentious. Trying too hard. |
Okay, Ava’s mom.
|
| I know a jewish couple who named their daughter that. I think it's horrifically ugly. |
My thought exactly. Nope on the name. |
| There are worse names. |
| There was a Bronwyn at my Catholic HS who was on the dance team. It’s an ok name, although it is a bit pretentious. |
| Love it. Just use it if you love it - everyone has name association so it doesn't matter. It's an interesting, very British, different name. |
| I love it and wanted to use it but DH wouldn’t go for it. |
| I knew a very independent and beautiful Bronwyn in college. Very positive associations w the name! |
| I think it’s pretty awful. I taught a Bronwyn when she was in HS and she was mortified that anyone hear her real name. She asked to be called “B”. |
| Awful on paper and out loud. |
