| Any suggestions on the best approach to losing belly fat? My body/arms/legs are reasonably toned but I can’t seem to get rid of my ‘gut’. Im concerned that dieting or cardio will reduce my muscle tone. |

You can’t lose more fat in one area than the other.
I have the same problem, and it completely sucks. What I’ve done is to continue with calorie restriction and cardio until I lost “some” of it but my upper body didn’t look too skinny (I’m a pear shape). Don’t worry about muscle tone! You won’t lose it if you continue to exercise and eat in a healthy way. |
| Intermittent fasting is your friend if you want to get rid of a belly! |

The answer to losing fat is always the same. Eat less.
If you don't want to lose muscle, do strength training. But belly fat is particularly unhealthy so I wouldn't fool yourself into thinking it is healthier to keep it out.of some misguided belief you'll lose muscle as part of the deal. |
No it isn't. skipping meals in and of itself is nothing special. |
I have literally read every nutrition and diet type book on earth in the last six months in hopes of losing my belly fat (also quite toned arms and legs). . .my extensive research says Intermittent Fasting and Keto - I am doing IF but only 12 Hours and am working to accept I need to do Keto I found Why we are fat and the Obesity Code the ones that resonated most with my belly fat issue

No sugar
No flour. Good luck |
| I have a friend who is doing a “eat certain things together” like coffee and lemon (or cinnamon). I’ll ask what it is called, but she said it worked well. |

crossfit
No sugar I have a 6 pack and I am 46 year old woman. I do drink alcohol |
| IF, cut sugar and fruits, eat more lean protein and veggies |
Alcohol is pure sugar! |
I don’t think 12 hours is long enough to see an effect from IF. |
| Keep blood sugar as stable as possible and insulin low. So, very low carb, enough sleep, walk after meals. |
| IF (16/8 or 18:6) and/or keto. No sugar, alcohol, dairy, or processed foods. Its diet and genetics. |
Agreed. 12 hrs is just a mental win. Most people are "fasting" 12 hrs a day anyway. |
