Dating strong men

I received a message online from a man on a dating site. It was a very thoughtful message and then near the end he said something alone the lines of just before you look at my profile, I wanted to mention that some women find my appearance intimidating. Just know that I am a softie at heart and a really gentle person (I am paraphrasing).
I go look at his profile and he is a mountain of a man. Height was 6'7" and he just has a really big frame, is muscular, has an angular face, and looks like an action figure. (Maybe kind of like The Rock's size). It was intimidating and honestly, even though he seemed like a nice guy, his size was a turn off for me. I felt bad for him since he feels the need to let women know he isn't scary but his physique is just a little scary. It wasn't so much that I had fear of being hurt although his size would make me feel a little vulnerable but more that it would be like he would roll over and crush me and that his strength / size was just too much. I think I like to feel a little more of an equal (even if I am weaker) in terms of strength. This felt to me like I would be a small child - big adult feeling in terms of strength. Then I felt a little guilty as my response was pretty superficial and this guy obviously has a hard time getting past a first message due to his size. I am average height and weight so not super petite but he would tower over me. Have other women dated really big strong men? |

There's a cut-off point for alot of women where a guy can actually be TOO tall. |

Like most women, a muscular man would be a turn-on for me (assuming it's not excessive), though I also like the tall, slender type.
However, I'm 5'3'' and 6'7'' would be too tall for me. My college BF was 6'3'' and that was a bit too tall (dancing was tough, for example). |

+1 Guys this tall have been pulling tail since 6th grade with no issues. Save your tears for the guys that are 5'5". Also release him back into the wild so tall girls have a chance with him. We ain't scared.

| I did a couple of times but they were not as nice as this guy sounds. He sounds pretty sweet so I would definitely go out with him. In terms of "size", being 6'7" doesn't necessarily translate to being huge down there but you can expect him to be large at a minimum which can take some time to get use to. The real key is to avoid being crushed because 250-300 pounds is a lot of weight. My husband is a very normal sized guy which is very nice but I do have fond memories of those mountain men. Wives of NFL players seem to cope if that is of any help! |

I like the idea of being held by a muscular man, but at the end of the day, I love me some tall, slender men with angular bone structure. I would seriously do non-PG rated things to some of those guys ... |
