Arlington DA 2020

Where do Arlington DA teams train now, and is it expected that location/s will continue next year? Times for different ages? Boys/girls? Will any potential expansion change this?

I thought DA was going to remove Arlington.

I don't see why they would do that. Most all the teams fair well in their league games. The only real question is if the boys' side will be expanded.

The boys side likely will not be expanded until DC United moves out to Loudoun. Arlington should be able to scoop up any players who can't make it out to Loudoun.

Fall 2019: girls practiced all over. Quincy Park, TJ Middle School, Long Bridge x2 was the typical weekly rotation, but Greenbrier, WL HS and Virginia Highlands also happened sometimes.

That's helpful. Roughly how early for the youngest age groups? DD is rising U14. I assume the 17s go later since they all likely drive, but others are earlier?

Times and days change every year. Too early to predict. Boys DA has been pretty regular at Longbridge this year, but also has practiced at Gunston, TJ Middle School, and Williamsburg schools.

Shouldn’t you worry first about making the before you worry about exact practice locations?

It sounded to me like PP wasn't sure she should even have her child try out depending on the practice times and locations. That's our family's challenge with considering possibilities at a couple clubs, but we are not close to Arlington.

The club is in Arlington, exactly what field is the breaking point?

If you are questioning trying out because of field locations, then DA is probably not for you.

Maybe they have already been offered a spot. Heard Arlington was recruiting hard.
