I am looking for an everyday necklace to wear to buy myself (via husband, but he has me pick out my own jewelry) for the holidays. I am looking for something simple that complements most outfits. I wear the same classic pieces every day -- a Cartier watch and either diamond or pearl stud earrings. The watch is two toned yellow/stainless and my wedding/engagement rings are white gold. I am a senior exec, but in a business casual environment.
I am not looking to be sentimental with having my kids' birthstones or names or any of that stuff. Just something nice and classic. Looking to spend no more than $500 or so. Suggestions? |

There was a recent discussion about what people wear for every day that might help. Good luck.

This might be too simple and small but I think it’s elegant:

That's very ugly. OP, do NOT get that. It has a bit of an off-color Georgia O'Keefe vibe to it, if you get my drift. |
| Costco’s website has some very nice necklaces in your price range. They offer very good value for money. |
You seem nutty. Clearly it’s subjective whether that necklace is cute or ugly and pears symbolize affection in many cultures. Maybe get your mind out of the gutter? |

I wear this: https://www.tiffany.com/jewelry/necklaces-pendants/paloma-picasso-olive-leaf-vine-pendant-31406439/
Also suggest Tiffany bean, a classic. |
| I would look for an Edwardian or Victorian era necklace on Etsy or Ruby Lane if you want something a little more out of the box! |
Like...it’s a solid, pear-shaped gold necklace. It’s not ugly, or remotely resembling Georgia O’Keefe’s work. You should probably see a doctor. |
The pear necklace is beautiful |
And an anatomy textbook.

It does have an O’Keefe esque sexual vibe to it. I like Alex Woo. |
I was also going to suggest a tiffany necklace. I love the bean. Goto the front page, click on Jewelry, and you will see a link specifically to items under $500. My personal favorite is the open heart. At this point it’s a classic, and will never go out of style. It’s also available in silver, rose gold, and a variety of stones. https://www.tiffany.com/jewelry/necklaces-pendants/elsa-peretti-open-heart-pendant-60957401/ That Nordstrom necklace is ugly, no matter what it looks like. |
