Suggest a simple everyday necklace

I do like those black pearls someone posted. My 40th birthday is coming up and I was looking for a piece of jewelry I might like as a gift and they’re a nice idea.

My personal favorite is the open heart. At this point it’s a classic, and will never go out of style. It’s also available in silver, rose gold, and a variety of stones.

That Nordstrom necklace is ugly, no matter what it looks like.

I’m the PP who suggested the “ugly” Nordstrom necklace. Different strokes I guess. I think hearts are cheesy and juvenile.

The Tiffany bean, Elsa Peretti cross and heart were all bridesmaids gifts when I was just out of college. I haven't worn them in years, but seeing them in this thread makes me want to pull them out because the pictures reminded me of such happy events. Thanks for the memories!

Just this week I pulled out an old Tiffany gemstone heart and started wearing it again. These were the thing when I was in college which seems like long enough ago for it to be so out of style it has become more individual again. Wear what you like.
