Happy Birthday!! I can say I have met Robin Zander numerous times, and he's genuinely a nice guy. One time back in the day, we heard what hotel they were staying at, and we figured we'd go scope it out. We'd met them before, so we figured maybe they'd be OK with it? Ha, yes, we were stupid. But there we were biding our time at a restaurant across the street from the hotel, and here comes Robin Zander, walking across the street, sees us at dinner and says, "there you are, can I join you?" and proceeded to have dinner with us. Just a really nice person. Had backstage passes a few times and they're all just nice. Rick Nielson is weird, though, I'll give you that. My brother met Robert Pland in the weirdest of ways. Was at a Young Republicans happy hour of sorts in Atlanta, GA when he was in college, and for some reason Robert Plant showed up! Waaaay before cell phones, so there are no pictures, but he was pretty surprised!! Said he was nice! |
