Heard from a close friend that Steve Martin isn't that nice in person. I was so disappointed to hear!

Stephen King - I have a first edition of The Stand that I need for him to sign Plus, I would be interested in meeting the mind that came up with stories like Salem's Lot, The Shining, etc.

Taylor Swift - I've been watching Taylor perform since she was a teenager. It is truly amazing to see what a powerful force she has become in the music industry. She has a rare combination of talents that have taken her far. I would be really disappointed if she behaved like a jerk towards me because I do have a high opinion of her as a person.

Bruce Springsteen - I've always loved his music and the songs that he writes and I'll never forget standing in long lines to get tickets to his Born in the USA concert. I think he would be an interesting person to talk to even though I don't agree with him politically.

I have a friend who met him- she was visiting Maine and went right up to his house. Apparently he's very friendly with fans who stop by to meet him.

I would be so tempted to try just showing up on his doorstep. I think he spends at least some of the year in Florida now but I'm not 100% sure about that. I have been a fan of his since I was a teenager and I'm 53 now. Actually my husband and kids are fans of his work, too.

Robin Zander of Cheap Trick

Happy Birthday!!
I can say I have met Robin Zander numerous times, and he's genuinely a nice guy. One time back in the day, we heard what hotel they were staying at, and we figured we'd go scope it out. We'd met them before, so we figured maybe they'd be OK with it? Ha, yes, we were stupid. But there we were biding our time at a restaurant across the street from the hotel, and here comes Robin Zander, walking across the street, sees us at dinner and says, "there you are, can I join you?" and proceeded to have dinner with us. Just a really nice person. Had backstage passes a few times and they're all just nice. Rick Nielson is weird, though, I'll give you that.

My brother met Robert Pland in the weirdest of ways. Was at a Young Republicans happy hour of sorts in Atlanta, GA when he was in college, and for some reason Robert Plant showed up! Waaaay before cell phones, so there are no pictures, but he was pretty surprised!! Said he was nice!

PP and I wish I knew you in real life! Love your stories especially about my longtime crushes, Robert and Robin. I'm insanely envious of your dinner AND backstage passes. In a related story, DH's cousin met Robert Plant in the 90s and she said he was so articulate and sincere; she was new in artist management and was trying not to be starstruck. She said he called her "darling" and "my dear" and was very fatherly with her.

I met Nancy Pelosi twice this year which was a dream.

I’d really love to meet Monica Lewinsky. I am a few years younger than her and I’d want to tell her how much watching her get attacked was bad for me as a girl and how much it means to me to see her try to fight against that culture.

I've met Conan. He's fun, sure. The 2010 pity party tour really soured me on him, though.

+1. It was disgusting how she was vilified and slut-shamed. I recognized that then, but as a mature adult now I also see how predatory it was of Bill Clinton to have an affair with his 22-ish year old intern and how he and his wife turned the machine on her.

She has my support and I hope she has a good life.

I've met Speaker Pelosi a couple times and wound up seated next to her at a charity lunch. She is incredibly warm and personable. Within a couple minutes of chatting we had our phones out sharing pictures. I was not expecting to like her as much as I did. (For additional context, I'm a Republican)

James Corden. Specifically, I would also very much love to be part of one of his Crosswalk musicals.

She's been in the news the last few years, now that it's unacceptable to bully people, and she's come across as super insightful and well-spoken. I think she was really just totally in over her head with the whole Clinton thing. Not even sure why she was "friends" with Linda Tripp.
