I think Natalie is a liar and am team heather on this one. Heather posted MULTIPLE times “ Unfortunately, she is posting lies about me. I will have to tell the whole story at some point. For the record: AFTER her maternity leave, I offered her a full time job with full salary and full benefits in a different capacity until she figured out what she wanted to do. She declined.”

Team Natalie over what? HD said she offered her a job after her leave and she declined. Not seeing the issue at all.

I live one town over from her, and we work out at the same gym. I was born and raised in DC, but moved here from Bethesda. Have been on DCUM since 2008.

There truly aren't many people around here who "like" her. And I am only expressing what I think happened based on all the stuff I hear around here (locally), and also a reality TV Facebook group that I belong to where this exact topic has been discussed ad nauseum.

She wasn’t screwed over. She’s trying to make herself relevant now since she’s no longer heathers assistant. Heather offered her a job after her maternity leave and she turned it down. No remorse for this girl at all.

I have listened to the podcast from day one. Everything Heather has EVER said about Natalie is that she is a very bright, talented and detail-oriented woman. Obviously, none of us can ever know what really happened between them.

In my opinion, it seems like her job had grown into multiple jobs. When she was a single woman she probably was willing to support HD’s needs almost 24/7. She probably tried to tell Heather this and wanted to grow her career in a more professional direction. She probably anticipated that being a new mom and pleasing her employer at the level she was before would not be doable.

It also seems like Natalie was a little postpartum (like a lot of us have been) and very sensitive and emotional. From the video she posted, she seems authentically blindsided by the situation. If HD considered her “like a second daughter” then it just seemed like she would have handled things a lot differently. HD’s posts and responses seemed mean-spirited and inauthentic to me. Also, I’m guessing that a non disclosure agreement has kept Natalie from defending herself.

I thought that Natalie balanced her out on that podcast and I enjoyed listening. I guess most people are just sad to see a friendship crumble in front of us. I really hope they can work it out.

This also reminds me of Kim Kardashian and HER assistant. She also started out as a personal assistant (everything from Kim's starbucks to laundry) but after five years wanted to be 'more'. She wanted an official title and role with the brand.

The problem was, and I suspect its the same with Natalie, these women have no formal work experience, no degrees, and no educational background. They want to be pushed into VP roles and marketing roles for the star's brands (like KKW) but you need people who can actually do spreadsheets, work with lawyers, etc for something like that.

Anyway Kim fired Step after a three-month trial run. Heather let Natalie go (after probably offering her a lower position) in the same vein.

This is the PP that lives in OC. In my opinion, Natalie was screwed over because she went on maternity leave with one job - and every expectation that she would return to that same position - to a totally new and different job, one that HD knew that Natalie would likely not want. This is my opinion. This is the opinion of many here in the local area. I could be totally and completely wrong!
