Herbal/alternative remedies for Fertility and PCOS?

I’m going all the traditional stuff but figured why not try alternative too. I’ve heard acupuncture, Berberine, peppermint, and black cohosh all as options. Anyone have any luck?

I lost weight and it helped my numbers significantly. Fat produces hormones. Not sure if you’re overweight but that’s the most natural

Spearmint tea to help with androgens.
Lose weight
It causes insulin resistance? Avoid white sugars

Not overweight ... I’m “lean PCOS” which Is a type that does not include insulin resistance but does still include many of the other side effects

Ugh, OP, I'm sorry. I'm also lean PCOS, and I feel like there are fewer options for us that work for others (weight loss, metformin, etc). I second the recommendation above for Vitamin D. We eventually went the IVF route to conceive our first, but I got pregnant on my own (somehow!) with #2.

Not herbal but fasting and a ketogenic diet were absolutely key for me. All of my PCOS symptoms were ultimately caused by hyperinsulinemia, and the only way to truly combat that in a healthy way is sustained carbohydrate restriction. When I maintain ketosis, I feel so much better in EVERY way including mood and so many symptoms I didn’t even know were caused by the hyperinsulinemia: skin tags, thin hair, acne, to say nothing of the fat. And I eat WAY more calories in general but the weight is way down.

There is also research on CoQ10 for PCOS support (however, check with your doctor). And, this is one where absorption matters. For example, forms that are water and fat-soluble absorb better.

For me, MACA helped to restore hormonal balance. I noticed significant changes. I also take Vitex.

Unfortunately if you don't have weight to lose, your options are limited. Honestly don't waste time - ask for medical help as soon as 6 months of trying.

Husband here. My wife didn't get her period in three months and tried acupuncture. It started right after her appointment. Coincidence? Maybe. Regardless, it worked out great.
