The five Fox News viewers reading this are convinced by the stupid bots (I mean studies show their personalities lean authoritarian anyway), but to everyone else this is stupid. Russia invaded Ukraine. They should leave. It’s as simple as that.

I am the OP of this thread.

No, you should not lock it. It has provided a wealth of information. Information from the good guys: NATO and Ukraine, as well as some Russian trolls, wasting their time on ridiculous propaganda no one believes.

Keep it open until all of Ukraine is liberated.

I predict thousands of pages!

Russian National TV seems to agree with you.

Maxim Yusin: "This conflict is forever. Your grandchildren will be fighting it."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMfxf9OO36c

But I don't think it's a realistic scenario.

"Russia has spent almost half of its government budget on the country's military this year"
https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1953006/vladimir-putin-russia-economy-crude-oil-income

"income from crude oil shipments in Russia has dropped to its lowest level in eight months"
https://www.newsweek.com/russia-putin-economy-oil-sanctions-1958511

"The Bank of Russia sees early indications that policymakers’ nightmare scenario of high prices coupled with slow economic growth — elements of what is known as stagflation — risks becoming a reality for the country."
https://financialpost.com/pmn/business-pmn/russia-flags-slowing-economic-demand-as-price-pressures-persist

I know what you're all thinking. You're thinking 'how could it even be possible to have stagflation with historically low Russian unemployment'? Unemployment in the traditional sense means people are looking for work but can't find any, so they have no means of income. So if no one is unemployed because of the war, how can Russia recover? Stay tuned. 9 months.

I merely meant that realistically “the new territories” will stay Russian. They don’t really want to be “liberated” from what I hear from a friend here in the U.S. who is originally from Donetsk region.
Not that the conflict will be forever.

Statement from President Biden on U.S. Support for Ukraine

“I am proud to welcome President Zelenskyy back to the White House today. For nearly three years, the United States has rallied the world to stand with the people of Ukraine as they defend their freedom from Russian aggression, and it has been a top priority of my Administration to provide Ukraine with the support it needs to prevail. In that time, Ukraine has won the battle of Kyiv, reclaimed more than half the territory that Russia seized at the start of the war, and safeguarded its sovereignty and independence. But there is more work to do. That is why, today, I am announcing a surge in security assistance for Ukraine and a series of additional actions to help Ukraine win this war.

Today, I am announcing that:
•I have directed the Department of Defense to allocate all of its remaining security assistance funding that has been appropriated for Ukraine by the end of my term in office. As part of this effort, the Department of Defense will allocate the remaining Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative funds by the end of this year. I also have authorized $5.5 billion in Presidential Drawdown Authority to ensure this authority does not expire, so that my Administration can fully utilize the funding appropriated by Congress to support the drawdown of U.S. equipment for Ukraine and then replenish U.S. stockpiles.

•The Department of Defense is announcing $2.4 billion in security assistance through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, which will provide Ukraine with additional air defense, Unmanned Aerial Systems, and air-to-ground munitions, as well as strengthen Ukraine’s defense industrial base and support its maintenance and sustainment requirements.

•To enhance Ukraine’s long-range strike capabilities, I have decided to provide Ukraine with the Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) long-range munition.

•To further strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses, I have directed the Department of Defense to refurbish and provide Ukraine with an additional Patriot air defense battery and to provide Ukraine with additional Patriot missiles. This builds on my decision earlier this year to divert U.S. air defense exports to Ukraine, which will provide Ukraine with hundreds of additional Patriot and AMRAAM missiles over the next year and will help Ukraine defend its cities and its people.

•To build the capacity of Ukraine’s air force, I have directed the Department of Defense to expand training for Ukrainian F-16 pilots, including by supporting the training of an additional 18 pilots next year.

•To counter Russian sanctions evasion and money laundering, the Department of Justice, the Department of the Treasury, and the U.S. Secret Service have taken action today to disrupt a global cryptocurrency network, in coordination with international partners. The United States will continue to raise the costs on Russia for its war in Ukraine and to deprive the Russian defense industrial base of resources.

•I will convene a leader-level meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Germany next month to coordinate the efforts of the more than 50 countries supporting Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression.

Through these actions, my message is clear: The United States will provide Ukraine with the support it needs to win this war. “

Biden is a demented geriatric patient, who was never very intelligent to begin with, from a morally-bankrupt and corrupt family.

But at least his handlers (Biden isn’t running anything) are steering the US and NATO in generally the right direction on assistance to Ukraine.

I personally blame our state department for throttling-back and withholding as much aid to Ukraine as they can get away with. If F-16s and JDAMS, ATACMS, M777s, Abrams and Bradleys, and full air defense had been in the very first tranche of aid, this war against Russia might already have been won.

Putin’s regime must fall. Security in Europe will not be possible until he is out of power.

The real threat to European security is actually NATO. NATO hasn't had a reason to exist for 30+ years, so they have to provoke conflict to stay relevant.

Russia and Germany were getting along swimmingly, and were just about to turn on a brand new gas line, when "someone" blew that line up severing ties. Whoever blew that line up is the real threat to European peace.

Trump recently said that Ukraine’s cities in the Russian occupied territory are gone/obliterated and there’s nothing to save or return.

If that’s true, why doesn’t Russia just walk away from the war and concede the land to Ukraine?

Jesus fking Christ what is wrong with Trump. He’s such a weakling. Arguing Ukraine should give up land. Ronald Reagan is rolling in his grave.

Surrendering land for peace in our times has come to be regarded as not such a good idea.

Doesn't really matter what Trump says, Russia is just going to keep rolling through Ukraine until they feel like stopping. After Kursk, negotiation isn't really on the table anymore.

Medvedev's Jupiter comment today spread like wildfire across Russian websites. I would watch this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wppm3Wv_jY

I'm just a Bystander, but this is not a normal threat to me. 9 months.
