It seems like everybody on DCUM has an AP... but looking around most middle aged people are ugly. Are you all really that desperate for attention that you’re into that?

I think so. Of the men I know who are having or had affairs, their wife is almost always better looking, usually by a lot.

I don’t know of any women in that situation, but I would guess women would be more selective with whom they have an affair with. But maybe not.

I only have 2 data points, one is the woman my ex cheated on me for and two is the man that cheated on my friend. I'm not as impartial for mine. But in both cases yes. For my friend the woman is downright homely and a bitch (when I first met her I had no idea who she was and vice versa. She was so cold and unfriendly. They get what they deserve!

My ex did not end up with the person he cheated on me with. Hers did.

Really it's no big deal to me, I'm remarried and he isn't. I have a very high sex drive and am very generous so my husband, who is actually a good man, has no complaints.

Yes, I think it's true. Everyone I've known who has cheated on their wife has cheated with an uglier person. Some were REALLY ugly.

I think you have to be desperate to cheat with a married man. You get crumbs and that's it. Not so many beautiful, successful women with wonderful friends and kids do it.

Yes, I think it's true. Everyone I've known who has cheated on their wife has cheated with an uglier person. Some were REALLY ugly.

I think you have to be desperate to cheat with a married man. You get crumbs and that's it. Not so many beautiful, successful women with wonderful friends and kids do it.

Let me explain something to you. After a few years of marriage, most wives lose all sexual attraction .... for their husbands. At that point, the wife will simply go without sex for months/years/decades because women lack an internal sex drive and can sexually hibernate. The men of course immediately start cheating with any available woman and “looks great” is less important than “wants sex”.... because men have an active sex drive. But those wives after a few sexless years start getting bored and then along comes some horny married guy (his wife of course lost attraction for him) and he flirts his way into her pants.

The bottom line is that women are not morally superior but are lacking an actual sex drive which enables them to go long periods of time without sex. Also they are wired to lose attraction to their husbands so this is why most marriages are sexless ending in divorce. Men on the other hand HAVE a sex drive and can’t go more than a few weeks before they find a woman to cheat with. It all comes down to sex drive: men have one, women don’t. This is why you ladies can easily find sex with any man ... BECAUSE you don’t really want it.
