Most parents would be upset with their kid for leaving the family business but demanding to still get paid by it, going on television to air all the family dirty laundry while his father was on his deathbed, and throwing in some outright lies in the process (they were married the wedding, Archie was denied the title he was entitled to). I don’t blame Charles a bit and probably would have lost some respect for him if he embraced Harry with open arms. You know Charles had to have been less than thrilled that Harry chose to marry an American, divorcee, D-lister with lots of family drama. Nonetheless, Meghan went on record talking about how welcoming they were. Charles even walked her down the aisle when her own father flaked. Charles has every right to feel utterly betrayed. |
+2 I agree with this astute prediction. The interest in H&M will wane and probably already is. Eventually they will be nothing more than sad caricatures who had a brief moment of glory, and will be reduced to positions of insignificance. Post-Covid people are going to get busy with their own lives and will no longer have need for reality-drama distractions like this. H&M may not go broke but it will be a miserable marriage if it isn't already. Harry is essentially a man without a country, without a real profession and living in an era where egalitarianism is much more respected than royalty. Especially here in the U.S. The irony is the outcome was predictable based on past royal family situations. This entire bunch is as dysfunctional as they come which is why many enjoy peeking at the fishbowl they live in. It's just another version of reality TV. |
What I find really amusing is all the people throwing out their backs complaining about how they're so sick of Meghan being in the press and how terrible their PR is, but that's exactly what they're trying to fight against. You really think they're the ones pushing out the hundreds, if not thousands, of unflattering stories about them? Gullible numpties. |
It's more that their PR game is pretty embarrassing. They're represented by Hollywood celebrities' go-to PR agency, Sunshine Sachs, which pushes out fluff pieces about them every other day, but they still can't stem the flow of unflattering stories. |
You're proving their point. |
Because they’re still up against the Royal Rota. They continue to be fair game for the British tabloids and as long as those stories generate interest, they’ll continue to push them out. The difference is that now the British tabloids are the last to know about anything newsworthy that they do—like the VaxLive concert—that’s getting covered by American (and international press.) |
WTF is "Global Citizen?" Last I checked we had countries and not the New World Order. Would never support just based on the name. |
Why are you hags so obsessed with her being a divorcee? Who cares in this day and age other than the pearl clutching old people? I mean, are you 90? |
Global Citizen is an NGO. That’s on par with being so clueless you don’t know what UNICEF or Doctors Without Borders are non-profits. Wow. I’m embarrassed for you. |
Women aren't horses. Please stop your sexist language, pp |
LOL That explains a lot... Global Citizen is an anti-poverty organization. It’s the type of charity that is commonly referred to as non-profits or NGOs (non-governmental organizations.) |
That's double NO then. Unelected bureaucrats and "globalists" are the perfect foils for H&M dastardly duo. |
Hi ESOL student - nags you mean nags not hags. Hags are witches. |
Of course! But you don’t know about those things because: They’re not highly publicized. |
Charles certainly has had his share of “drama”, no? You’d lose respect for Charles embracing his son — but not for deceiving his son’s mother and destroying his son’s family in his wish to be reincarnated as Camilla’s tampon? Interesting values and priorities. |
