I think I may agree with you! |
Are you people as dim as Trump? How many times does it need to be said that Democrats do not support open borders.
They support comprehensive immigration reform. That you cannot get it through your pea brains that a vanity wall won't solve the issue is just amazing. I loathe Bernie but I would vote for ANYONE other than Trump. |
Yeah, that's what Obama promised, remember? Immigration reform done in his first year. And he didn't move a finger. |
Biden will never survive the #metoo crowd. Trump will eat crazy uncle joe alive. Please run him. You’d be better off re-running Mondale and Ferraro. |
Conman and his cult has to look at the fraud "trickle down" party that has won the popular vote just once(by one state) since 1988 and now the conman has driven away anyone with a college degree, minorities and most women. His approval has not once crossed 45% and in fact it has declined in every single state since early 2017. And the 2018 election gave dems 45 house seats, the highest net for dems since Nixon scandal. Keep dreaming. He conned just enough people to win using the slavery era EC in 2016 but since then atleast some in the cult have figured out his con of "tax cuts for the rich AND immigration drama for the rest". https://morningconsult.com/tracking-trump/ |
Look, nobody is going to look too deep into your comprehensive plan. Once you say “generous caps on refugees” or “amnesty to dreamers” you are pretty much done. Legal immigration only, closing loopholes for asylum abusers- This type of slogans might do the trick. |
Of course, Democrats don't support open borders .......... they have said that repeatedly.
But they don't favor deporting those who are here illegally and so from a practical standpoint it becomes open borders without using the terminology. The so called "comprehensive immigration reform" basically entails amnesty and a path to citizenship for those here illegally - and that extends way beyond the "dreamers". |
+1 They're smart enough to not use the term "open borders," but they don't really think there should be any limits on the number of people who immigrate here. |
Dubya supported amnesty, but y’all don’t seem to remember that |
If only Dems had supported his quite rational immigration reform a while back we would all be in a much better place. But Dems--including Bernie-- had to oppose it of course. |
Wrong. Thats just your wish as dems policy choice. Even the comprehensive immigration plan in 2013 passed by republican senators increased the budget for border security using drones, more personnel for port of entry and immigration limited to 1 million per year, same as now. It just gave legal pathway to illegal who arrived before 2010 and pay back taxes. |
W's immigration plan was scuttled by the house republicans. Learn your history well first. |
Amy Klobuchar. It has to be someone who acknowledges immigration is a problem, and is willing to do something to fix it. As a moderate Dem, I totally agree that most of the candidates are advocating for functionally open borders, though they're smart enough not to use the term. And it's concerning and not in step with what most of the country wants, clearly. |
The country is declining in population without counting immigration. We need immigrants to fill the positions vacated by baby boomers. Without immigration US will be stuck with a stagnating or declining economy like much of europe and japan as their population are declining. |
So we need "breeders" is what you're saying. |
